Swerve Strickland Chokes Out Brody King on AEW Dynamite

The tension between Swerve Strickland and Brody King reached a breaking point on the March 4 episode of AEW Dynamite. After weeks of debating who truly holds the title of the most dangerous man in the promotion, the two stars engaged in a violent confrontation that left the House of Black member reeling ahead of their match at Revolution.

Brody King kicked off the segment by calling out Strickland. King made it clear that he had no interest in flashy entrances or bragging from the announce table.

“I could stand on the announce table like Swerve and brag about how dangerous I am, but I don’t need to — I know I’m the most dangerous man in AEW, and I’m ready to prove it to Swerve tonight,” King declared to the crowd.

Prince Nana soon appeared, laughing at King’s challenge. He questioned if King was truly prepared for the consequences of picking a fight with his client. “I hear you loud and clear, but do you really want to go down this rabbit hole?” Nana asked. King quickly shut him down, demanding that Nana “bring Swerve’s ass out here.” Nana complied, introducing “the real most dangerous man in AEW,” but as the fans watched the entrance ramp, Swerve never appeared. Instead, Strickland blindsided King from behind, using his signature chain to level the big man.

After hitting a House Call, Swerve wrapped the heavy chain around King’s throat and pulled it over the top rope, choking him while mocking King by barking like a dog.

“This is how you chain up a dog. I had to send a message to Kenny Omega, and now he’s sending one to King. It’s one thing to claim you’re the most dangerous man in AEW — it’s another to prove it,” Swerve shouted. He warned the entire locker room that they were officially on notice before turning his attention back to his opponent. “I’ll see you at Revolution. I’ve hung a man in L.A. before.”

The assault only ended when Bandido rushed to the ring, forcing Swerve and Nana to retreat. With their match now official for Revolution, Swerve has proven that he will stop at nothing to reclaim his spot at the top of the mountain.
