Several Indie Talent Set for WWE Tryouts – Several independent wrestlers are reportedly preparing for upcoming tryouts with WWE, with some names already confirming they have received invitations. A new update from Fightful indicates that Airica Demia and Notorious Mimi are among those being actively recruited by the company.
Earlier reports in January suggested both Demia and Mimi were scheduled for tryouts around that time. The latest update states that recruitment efforts have continued, with Demia believed to be set for a tryout this week.
Demia shared a post on X last Thursday, calling the invitation the “opportunity of a lifetime.” The message included an image of her WWE tryout invitation and tagged the WWERecruit account. Notorious Mimi posted a similar image to her own account the same day. Additional independent wrestlers also shared the invitation, including “The Example” Ricky South, The Tuckman, and Scott Green, all representing Australia.
Other names are reportedly being evaluated for possible tryouts. These include Nikki Blackheart, who previously attended a seminar led by Bayley under the Lodestone banner, along with Fallyn Gray and another name still being verified. None of the talent who posted publicly disclosed the exact date of their tryouts.
Earlier this month, WWE was also reported to have signed Rayne Leverkusen following her standout performance at the SummerSlam tryouts. Leverkusen had recently dropped both the Hustle Championship and the PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Title before joining the company. A total of 55 performers were evaluated during that round of tryouts, though it is not yet known how many wrestlers will take part in the upcoming sessions featuring Demia, Mimi, and others.
The latest recruiting effort signals WWE’s continued focus on scouting independent talent and identifying prospects who could transition into its developmental system. With invitations already circulating and more names emerging, the next round of tryouts could bring several new performers into the company’s pipeline.
