LA Knight Opens Up About Frustrations Ahead of Elimination Chamber – LA Knight says he is still enjoying his run in WWE, but he admits there have been frustrations along the way.
Despite remaining one of the most popular babyfaces on the roster over the past three years, Knight has not captured a world championship. He has also not been positioned consistently as the company’s top star. During an appearance on ESPN SportsCenter, Knight was asked whether he is still having fun given his current status.
“It’s a good time. There’s definitely frustrations here and there. You can’t be in something you love and not from time to time…passion is sometimes full of anger. There’s no way not to have a little bit of that in there. But as far as what we’re doing and as far as what I’m doing, it’s been a hell of a run, it’s been a hell of a ride. I’m having fun where I can pick my spots. It’s just trying to unplug when I actually have the chance to go home and be at home and enjoy that time,” Knight said.
Knight made it clear that reaching the main event at WrestleMania 42 remains a major goal. After 23 years in the business, he believes that opportunity is overdue. He defeated AJ Styles at WrestleMania 40 but fell short against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 41. This spring in Las Vegas, he hopes to prove that his work has earned him the industry’s top prize.
That opportunity could begin this Saturday, February 28, when Knight competes in the men’s Elimination Chamber match at the United Center in Chicago. The winner will earn a WrestleMania 42 title shot against Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at Allegiant Stadium.
Knight’s competition inside the Chamber includes Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Jey Uso. With the Road to WrestleMania entering its final stretch, Knight has a chance to turn frustration into momentum on one of WWE’s biggest stages.
