AJ Styles Reportedly Signs New WWE Deal Following Retirement – Since AJ Styles’ career-ending loss to GUNTHER and symbolically placed his gloves in the ring, rumors swirled about a potential return elsewhere in the wrestling industry.

Even after announcing his retirement on RAW and being revealed as part of the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class by The Undertaker, some fans questioned whether “The Phenomenal One” was truly finished. The idea of him signing with All Elite Wrestling or Total Nonstop Action Wrestling continued to circulate.

According to PWInsider, those possibilities are no longer on the table. The report states that WWE sources have confirmed Styles and the company have agreed to a new contract. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the agreement ensures Styles will remain with WWE, ending any talk of him seeking opportunities elsewhere.

While Styles has officially stepped away from in-ring competition, his involvement with the company is expected to continue in a different capacity. Internally, there is a belief that he will begin assisting with the development of younger talent. Though details remain limited, this is widely understood to mean a role connected to NXT and the WWE Performance Center.

In fact, weeks before his final match, Styles openly discussed his interest in working at the Performance Center once his wrestling career concluded. He also expressed admiration for WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who has overseen WWE NXT in recent years.

With a new deal secured, Styles’ in-ring chapter appears closed. However, his influence within WWE looks set to continue for years to come.
