Two Unannounced Matches Reportedly Set for WWE Royal Rumble Pre-Show – WWE Royal Rumble 2026 is set to get underway later today from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and new details suggest fans in attendance will be treated to extra in-ring action before the main card even begins. Just hours before the premium live event kicks off, a report has surfaced indicating that WWE has quietly scheduled two additional matches as part of the pre-show lineup.
According to PWInsider Elite, WWE has internally listed two bouts that are expected to take place ahead of the main Royal Rumble broadcast. These matches are not currently advertised on WWE’s official event card, making them a surprise addition for those inside the stadium.
The reported pre-show matches are The New Day and Grayson Waller taking on Shinsuke Nakamura and The Motor City Machine Guns, as well as The Wyatt Sicks facing The MFTs. Both bouts feature established names and factions, suggesting WWE is looking to keep the live crowd engaged well before the opening bell of the main card.
At this time, it remains unclear whether either match will air during WWE’s two-hour Countdown to the Royal Rumble pre-show or if they will be held exclusively for fans in attendance at the venue. WWE has often used pre-show matches in international markets to add value to the live experience, even when those matches do not make it to television or streaming platforms.
The main Royal Rumble 2026 card is already packed, with both the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches set to headline the event. In addition, AJ Styles will put his career on the line against GUNTHER, while Drew McIntyre is scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn.
If these pre-show matches do take place as planned, the Riyadh crowd will be getting an extended slate of action featuring major stars and multiple divisions. It also reinforces WWE’s approach of delivering a full-scale spectacle for its first Royal Rumble event held in Saudi Arabia.
