Battle Royal Competitors and More Set for AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash – AEW has locked in a stacked lineup for this Wednesday’s Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite, which will take place from Manchester, England. With the Continental Classic tournament entering a critical stage and Worlds End just two weeks away, the show will feature several key matches and storyline developments.
Three Continental Classic tournament bouts are scheduled for the night. In Blue League action, former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who currently sits at three points, will look to rebound after his recent loss to Konosuke Takeshita when he faces Roderick Strong, who enters the match with zero points. Also in the Blue League, Orange Cassidy, also with three points, will go one-on-one with Mascara Dorada, who is likewise sitting at three points, making that matchup particularly important for both competitors as the standings tighten.
The lone Gold League match on the card is set to be a hard-hitting encounter, as Kyle Fletcher, who leads his block with six points, takes on PAC, who currently has three points. With the finals approaching at Worlds End, the outcome of this match could significantly impact the Gold League race.
In addition to the tournament matches, AEW will further set the stage for the AEW World Championship match at Worlds End. World Champion Samoa Joe, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland will all be in the ring together for a contract signing ahead of their upcoming three-way title match. Tensions between the three have continued to escalate since Full Gear, making this segment one of the most anticipated parts of the show.
The women’s division will also be heavily featured in an eight-woman tag team match. TBS Champion Mercedes Moné will team with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, Marina Shafir, and Megan Bayne to face AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Babes of Wrath, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, along with the Timeless Love Bombs, Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa.
Finally, additional names have been announced for the upcoming Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal. Ricochet, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Brody King, and Shelton Benjamin have all been confirmed, with more entrants expected to be revealed.
With tournament implications, championship build, and holiday-themed chaos, AEW Holiday Bash is shaping up to be a pivotal episode of Dynamite.
