12/26 WWE SmackDown Preview

Drew McIntyre is heading into the holidays with anything but cheer after WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes invaded his home just days before the December 19 episode of SmackDown. The break‑in and ensuing brawl kept McIntyre off television last week, but “The Scottish Psychopath” is back — and he’s not coming quietly. With the line between personal and professional now obliterated, McIntyre’s rage has reached a boiling point. The question is no longer if he’ll retaliate, but how far he’s willing to go to get revenge on Rhodes in a rivalry that has transformed into a full‑blown blood feud.

The Miz, meanwhile, is looking to reclaim his dignity after being humiliated at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where R‑Truth and Joe Hendry delivered a Ten‑Knuckle Shuffle that left him fuming. Tonight, Miz gets his chance at redemption when he faces Hendry one‑on‑one. Grand Rapids is expected to erupt for the former TNA World Champion, but Miz is a master of bending the rules to his advantage. Hendry’s charisma and viral momentum have carried him far — but can he withstand the veteran’s trademark trickery, or will Miz’s experience and underhanded tactics shut down the Hendry hype train?

United States Champion Ilja Dragunov continues his grueling Open Challenge series tonight. “The Mad Dragon” has successfully defended his title against Tommaso Ciampa, J.D. McDonagh, both members of Fraxiom, Carmelo Hayes, and more. But Dragunov’s path has grown increasingly treacherous. Recently defeated challengers Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae have shown they’re not finished with him, and the numbers game is beginning to close in. Dragunov has fought with unmatched heart throughout his reign — but if multiple enemies converge at once, even he may find himself outmatched. Will someone step up to help him, or is Dragunov destined to face the impossible odds alone as 2025 comes to a close?
