In another backstage segment, Ilja Dragunov informs Carmelo Hayes that he is officially closing the United States Championship open challenge.
United States Championship: Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes. Carmelo Hayes becomes the new United States Champion. After the match, Dragunov personally fastens the championship around Hayes’ waist in a show of respect.
Backstage, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss get into a heated argument that quickly explodes into a full‑on women’s locker room brawl. As the chaos unfolds, an eight‑woman tag team match is announced for the first SmackDown of January to determine the next #1 contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre vs. Giulia & Kiana James follows. Giulia scores the pinfall over Chelsea Green.
Kit Wilson has a brief backstage interaction with Nick Aldis, which leads to Cody Rhodes stepping in and demanding an apology from Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre closes the show in the ring.
