Fan Altercation at AEW Dynamite Sparks Online Backlash – A fan altercation during the December 17 AEW Dynamite in Manchester drew widespread attention online after footage surfaced showing a physical confrontation in the crowd — all sparked by a plush toy thrown by Jack Perry.
The incident began when Perry tossed a plush toy into the audience. Two fans caught it simultaneously, leading to a brief struggle over who would take it home. Before the situation could resolve, a third individual rushed in from behind and placed one of the fans in a chokehold.
Nearby attendees quickly intervened and separated the individuals involved. The fan who was grabbed did not appear to suffer serious injury. The person who initiated the chokehold continued arguing with surrounding fans before eventually leaving the area with a woman who had also been part of the initial scramble.
The situation escalated further once the footage hit social media. One fan publicly named two individuals they claimed were involved, writing: “The assholes in this video are @SimonHOfficial & @TheLeahRaven btw, both people who work in the industry and should KNOW BETTER. Hold these fckers accountable and don’t let them get away with this.”*
AEW has not issued a public statement regarding the altercation or the accusations made online. It remains unclear whether the company will address the situation or if any legal action will follow.
This was not the only crowd-related issue reported from the taping. Another fan claimed on social media that security (rightly so, because you have to leave fucking politics out of sporting events) confiscated his Palestinian flag and told him he would need to surrender it or leave the venue.
Between the physical altercation and the flag incident, the Manchester tapings generated significant discussion outside the ring — overshadowing parts of the show itself and raising questions about crowd management and venue policy.
