MJF Returns, Crashes AEW World Title Picture – MJF made his long-awaited return during the Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision and wasted no time shaking up the AEW World Championship scene. Appearing during the contract signing involving AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page, MJF interrupted the segment and announced that he was officially executing his Casino Gauntlet contract. With that declaration, he inserted himself into the match at AEW Worlds End, turning the championship bout into a four-way.

During his promo, MJF addressed his time away from television and made it clear that his return was deliberate. He stated that he was cashing in now to respond directly to Hangman Page, who had previously accused him of being a coward. MJF rejected that label outright, saying his decision to step into the match alongside three top names was proof that he fears no one. He added that his goal was not just to win the title, but to hurt Hangman by defeating him and his two biggest rivals on the biggest stage possible.

MJF then shifted his focus to Samoa Joe, making it clear that their history remains unresolved. He reminded Joe that he still resents him for taking the AEW World Championship from him two years ago and claimed that the fans turned on him after that loss. MJF stated that legacies in wrestling are defined by the audience and that becoming an all-time great requires reclaiming the top prize.

Turning his attention to Swerve Strickland, MJF delivered one of his most inflammatory remarks of the night. He mocked Strickland with a controversial comparison, saying they shared similarities as “dogshit rappers who use too much baby oil.” MJF referenced their diverging career paths, claiming he became a star in AEW while Swerve went to WWE, where he “twerked for Top Dolla.” He acknowledged Swerve’s accomplishments in AEW but dismissed the idea that the company belonged to him.

Closing out his promo, MJF declared that AEW is his house and warned his rivals that “the rent is due.” The statement served as a clear message that he intends to reclaim the AEW World Championship.

MJF had been absent from AEW programming since All Out, where he lost a brutal Tables N Tacks match to Mark Briscoe. He originally earned his title opportunity by winning the Casino Gauntlet at All In. AEW President Tony Khan later clarified that the contract did not allow for an anytime cash-in and instead required one week’s notice, which MJF has now provided heading into Worlds End.
