Continental Classic Semifinals Set for AEW Worlds End

Continental Classic Semifinals Set for AEW Worlds End – The field is officially set. Following Thursday’s Christmas Collision, the 2025 AEW Continental Classic has its two semifinal matches locked in for this Saturday’s AEW Worlds End pay‑per‑view — and as many expected, the Don Callis Family will be heavily represented.

Thursday’s final league matches brought clarity to both blocks, confirming two first‑time‑ever singles encounters for the semifinals.

Takeshita vs. Okada: A Months‑Long Collision Course

In the Blue League, IWGP World Champion Konosuke Takeshita entered the night already qualified after reaching 10 points. His victory over Mascara Dorada only solidified his position as the league’s top performer.

On the Gold League side, Kazuchika Okada secured his semifinal berth by defeating Mike Bailey in the main event. The win allowed Okada to avoid a potential four‑way tiebreaker and instead claim one of the two Gold League spots outright.

Takeshita vs. Okada has been building for months, and now the two international megastars will finally meet one‑on‑one with a spot in the Continental Classic finals on the line.

Moxley vs. Fletcher: First‑Time Clash With High Stakes

The other semifinal will see Jon Moxley — the Blue League runner‑up — take on Kyle Fletcher, who edged out Jack Perry earlier in the night to secure his place atop the Gold League standings.

Moxley punched his ticket by defeating Orange Cassidy, ensuring he returns to the semifinals for the first time since 2023. Fletcher, meanwhile, continues his breakout year with the biggest singles opportunity of his AEW career.

Both semifinal matches are first‑time‑ever encounters.

Okada is looking to win his second straight Continental Classic, while Moxley aims to return to the finals for the first time in two years.
