D’Angelo’s last televised appearance came on the July 30 episode of NXT, where he was shown at his restaurant following the conclusion of his feud with former associate Stacks. In a cinematic-style segment, D’Angelo was eating alone when he noticed someone off-screen. The scene abruptly cut to black, drawing comparisons to the iconic ending of The Sopranos.
Since signing with WWE in 2021, D’Angelo quickly became a standout character in NXT, building a faction that included Stacks, Adrianna Rizzo, and Luca Crusifino. His storyline with Stacks reached its climax at Stand & Deliver earlier this year, culminating in a triple threat match in July where D’Angelo defeated both Stacks and Crusifino.
While his creative direction remains uncertain, D’Angelo’s unique presentation and popularity have kept fans speculating about his next move. Whether his recent backstage appearance signals a return to television or simply a visit remains to be seen, but his absence has left a noticeable gap in NXT’s roster.
