Seth Rollins Hopes to Return in Time for WrestleMania Season – Seth Rollins is aiming to make his way back to the ring in time for WrestleMania season following a shoulder injury that required surgery. Rollins was injured at Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11, an issue serious enough to take him out of action and place him in a sling for several weeks. While appearing on a new episode of Something’s Burning with comedian Bert Kreischer, Rollins discussed the situation and offered an honest look at his expected recovery timeline.
Rollins said doctors told him he would likely need six months before returning to full in-ring activity. Despite the setback, he is trying to stay positive. “I mean, there’s nothing good about being hurt. I’m trying to find the silver linings,” he said. “I’ll get to spend more time with my daughter, which is great. More time at home. Once I get this thing [shoulder sling] off, which is in like another month, then it might be, like, full vacation mode for a little while before I lock in and have to start training to get ready to come back.”
Rollins explained that recovery will be gradual once the sling comes off. His goal is to begin seriously training again around February, giving him enough time to prepare for a comeback shortly afterward. He said: “My guess is about 8-12 weeks of, like, ‘Okay, now I have to stop eating like an assh*le.’ Probably 12 weeks. Plus, we’ll be moving right into WrestleMania season. So I’m hoping around February, after all the holiday stuff, I can start to be like, okay, lock in, no more BS.
“Give myself a month before I come back-ish, maybe? Maybe, don’t even know. They say six months, so this could be April.”
WrestleMania 42 takes place on April 18 and 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Even if Rollins’ six-month prognosis holds, he could still return in time for the event. WWE wrote him off television in October after a betrayal by his former Vision partners Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman, setting the stage for a storyline comeback once he is medically cleared.
