NXT Gold Rush Week Two Taping Results ** SPOILERS ** – WWE taped Night Two of its NXT Gold Rush special last week at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, recording the full episode immediately after the live broadcast. The episode airs tonight and includes several title changes along with a major announcement tied to NXT Deadline.
The tapings opened with a major development for the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Lei Ying Lee captured the title by defeating Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace in a Triple Threat Match. Lee secured the victory by pinning Jordan, ending Jordan’s reign and walking out with the championship. Jordynne Grace, now officially signed with WWE, took part in the match but was not involved in the decision.
The WWE Women’s Speed Championship also changed hands. Fallon Henley defeated Zaria to become the new champion in a matchup that added another unexpected twist to the night’s card.
Two EVOLVE Championship matches were also taped before the main broadcast. Jackson Drake successfully retained the EVOLVE Championship with a win over Sean Legacy, while Kendal Grey kept her EVOLVE Women’s Championship by defeating Laney Reid.
In singles action, Myles Borne scored a victory over Trick Williams. This match stemmed from last week’s episode, where Borne attacked Williams with a steel chair, setting up their confrontation for tonight’s show.
The episode will also feature an appearance from John Cena. Cena is scheduled to announce the full lineup for both the Men’s and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches, which will take place at NXT Deadline on December 6. The winners of those Iron Survivor bouts will go on to challenge for their respective championships at New Year’s Evil.
