Cam Skattebo’s WWE RAW Appearance Draws New York Media Spotlight – A segment from the November 17 edition of WWE RAW continues to attract major attention across New York sports media, with the New York Daily News featuring the angle on the back cover of its Wednesday, November 19 issue. The page includes a photo of injured New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo alongside The Judgment Day during their confrontation at Madison Square Garden, accompanied by a story examining Skattebo’s decision to appear on RAW despite being sidelined for the remainder of the NFL season.
Skattebo quickly became a breakout star in his rookie year with the Giants, earning a reputation for his powerful running style and growing popularity among fans. His season came to an abrupt halt on October 26 after suffering a dislocated ankle, fractured fibula, and deltoid ligament rupture in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Although still recovering from surgery, Skattebo participated in Monday’s RAW segment in a limited but physical manner. Appearing with a group of Giants teammates, he helped defend comedian Andrew Schulz during an altercation with The Judgment Day and was shoved several times during the confrontation.
Following widespread discussion of his involvement, Skattebo addressed criticism on social media. In his message, he wrote, “Aye, honestly if you don’t like that I’m having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on. I’m not able to play football and have the fun I’ve been having my whole life so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy. Enjoy the rest of y’all’s week and just don’t talk about me if you ain’t got nothing nice to say.”
WWE has increasingly highlighted athletes and celebrities in the crowd during the TKO and Netflix eras, and the company even released several official T-shirts featuring Skattebo after the RAW appearance. The Daily News piece also included reactions from Giants teammates, with fellow running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. commenting, “I wasn’t there last night. Best believe I was fighting at home, though, telling him to duck and sit down. But Cam’s a wild man, and everybody knows that, so he’s gonna go out there and do what he do.”
