Cena recently defeated Dominik Mysterio to capture the Intercontinental Championship, completing his career Grand Slam. With his farewell match scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C., Cena’s words tonight will set the tone for his last chapter.
The tournament to determine Cena’s final opponent continues with two first-round matches:
- GUNTHER returns for his first bout since losing the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, facing NXT standout Je’Von Evans.
- Solo Sikoa, leader of MFT, battles a mystery opponent in another opening-round clash.
On SmackDown last Friday, LA Knight and Jey Uso advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) and The Miz respectively. Tonight’s matches will further shape the bracket as the road to Cena’s farewell bout intensifies.
