Update on TNA Negotiations for New TV Deal

Update on TNA Negotiations for New TV Deal – TNA Wrestling is moving closer to finalizing a new media rights deal, with talks now progressing beyond the exploratory stage.

Speaking with TV Insider, TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed that the company is now in direct negotiations with one broadcast partner. According to Silva, while no firm deadline has been established, the current target is to have the deal in place and active at the start of 2026.

“We’re now in active negotiations with a partner, and we’re going to work through that. I can’t really put a timeline on how long that will take,” Silva explained. “The good news is the process has started. We’re no longer just talking to a bunch of people to sort of gauge interest. Now we have an interested partner and working through potentially a deal for 2026. It’s going to happen as soon as it can happen. We were working on it as recently as yesterday, exchanging papers and trying to figure it out. We’re excited about it and keep pushing it forward to get this over the finish line. It’s done when it’s over the finish line.”

Silva did not disclose which network is in discussions with TNA, but speculation has centered on major players such as The CW or A&E. The CW in particular has been linked to the company due to its ongoing storyline partnership between TNA and WWE NXT. That collaboration will continue with a special NXT vs. TNA Showdown event airing on The CW next Tuesday.

Industry reports suggest that TNA is seeking a package worth around $10 million annually. Such a deal would provide the company with the ability to broadcast Impact Wrestling live more frequently. Another factor being considered is the potential scheduling of the weekly program. While Impact currently airs on Thursday nights via AXS TV and TNA+, the possibility of moving to Wednesday nights — directly opposite AEW Dynamite — has not been ruled out.

TNA’s immediate focus, however, is on its flagship pay-per-view, Bound for Glory, scheduled for Sunday, October 12 in Lowell, Massachusetts. The event will feature Mike Santana challenging Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship in the main event, further solidifying TNA’s momentum as it works toward securing a long-term television future.
