Spoiler News and Notes for 10/3 WWE SmackDown – Several intriguing spoilers and backstage updates have emerged ahead of tonight’s live edition of WWE SmackDown from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Multiple names from RAW and NXT have been spotted in town, adding to speculation about potential surprises on the blue brand. Among the most notable is WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who is confirmed to be in Cincinnati. It remains unclear whether she will appear on television or simply handle business off-camera, but her presence is significant given her ongoing storyline with WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. WWE has advertised Stratton for tonight’s show, noting that she will focus on her upcoming Crown Jewel: Perth clash with Vaquer next weekend.
NXT standout Je’Von Evans is also backstage. Evans turned heads last week with his strong showing against Sami Zayn for the United States Championship during Zayn’s latest open challenge. He is back again tonight, though it is not yet known if he will wrestle on TV or work in a dark match. Zayn is scheduled to defend the U.S. title in another open challenge later this evening.
Darkstate members have also been spotted in Cincinnati, teasing another possible cross-brand confrontation. The faction is set to face The Hardys next Tuesday at NXT ShowDown in a “Winner Take All” match for both brands’ tag titles.
In addition, WWE Women’s Speed Champion Sol Ruca and fellow NXT star Zaria are backstage. Their involvement tonight could range from dark matches to appearances on Main Event or even SmackDown itself.
Advertised matches for the broadcast include Damian Priest in action against an opponent yet to be named, while Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes teams with Randy Orton against RAW’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in the evening’s main event.
WWE SmackDown will air live tonight at 8 p.m. EST on the USA Network in the United States, with international streaming available on Netflix.
