10/1 AEW Dynamite 6-Year Anniversary Live Results

10/1 AEW Dynamite 6-Year Anniversary Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of AEW Dynamite on October 1, from the Hard Rock Seminole Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The usual show opening video and accompanying theme song plays to get the special six-year anniversary installment of AEW Dynamite officially off-and-running.

Kenny Omega & Brodido vs. Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks

Excalibur, Taz and Bryan Danielson welcome us to the show and then send us to an ‘earlier today’ style video, which essentially explains that The Young Bucks lost their big duffle bag full of cash and are now broke. Back live, we see Nick and Matt Jackson already in the ring.

After getting no televised ring entrance, they are introduced without any enthusiasm by “The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts, as an accompanying “The Broke Bucks” graphic flashes on the screen. The music for their partner from The Don Callis, Josh Alexander, hits next.

Out comes “The Walking Weapon” to join Nick and Matt in the ring, as Don Callis takes his usual spot on special guest commentary for a match featuring one of his guys. The theme for Brodido hits next and out comes the AEW World Tag-Team Championship duo of Brody King and Bandido.

Now the familiar sounds of Kenny Omega’s entrance tune plays and the Hollywood crowd comes alive inside the building, as Justin Roberts does his loud, over-the-top introduction for “The Cleaner.” The bell sounds to get things underway. Kicking things off for their respective teams at the onset are Omega and Alexander.

The two lock up and Omega sends Alexander to the ropes, but is taken down by the Don Callis Family member. They go back at it until Omega gets sent away, as Matt makes the tag to go after his former friend. Kenny takes him to the mat before making a tag to Brody.

The big-man of the AEW Tag-Team Championship duo does some more damage on Jackson before tagging in his masked tag-team partner, Brodido, who picks up where he left off. Nick comes in for an assist but the ROH World Champion dodges their superkicks.

He starts to do the Macarena before the Bucks go after him. They mock him with the dance before Kenny comes in for an assist, and the pair dance together after sending the Bucks down. Chaos ensues until the Bucks and Alexander are sent to the outside.

With that in mind, we then see Omega and Bandido land a couple dives. Bandido sends the trio one by one back in the ring, just as Brody starts landing scoop slam after scoop slam, before Omega insists on being slammed onto them himself.

After that, we see a follow-up from Bandido, who comes in and shows off his power in addition to the high-flying skills he has shown thus far. He slams Brody onto their opposition for a big pop. The opposing team begins taking over from there.

The Bucks hit some dives as the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues in this exciting opening trios tilt. When the show returns, we see The Bucks double-teaming Omega. They miss a double-team spot, however.

Omega begins fighting back with belly-to-belly suplexes. He then makes the much-needed tag to Brody King, who comes in and takes over, widening the gap for their offensive lead. After some more back-and-forth action, Omega hits a One-Winged Angel for the win.

Winners: Kenny Omega & Brodido

Jurassic Express Makes Save For Kenny Omega

Once the match wraps up, we see Omega and The Young Bucks left alone in the ring. The Bucks and Omega look at each other as Excalibur talks on commentary about them being three of the guys who helped launch AEW in the first place and among those who have been part of AEW Dynamite for all six years in its’ history.

As things seem like they’re going to go the pleasant and possibly even nostalgic route, we get a sharp turn when Alexander re-enters the ring and along with Nick and Matt, begin a three-on-one beatdown of Omega. This continues until we hear the familiar sounds of “Tarzan Boy.”

The old theme song for the Jurassic Express duo of “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus plays as the two make their first appearance together, outside of reuniting at AEW All Out: Toronto, in quite some time. The crowd goes nuts as the duo make their way down to make the save for Omega.

Omega gets in Jack Perry’s face and the pair shove each other, but Perry delivers a dive through the middle rope to level The Bucks on the outside and brawls with Nick and Matt to the back as Luchasaurus follows behind.

Omega grabs a microphone and says it’s been six years. He says he’s been with AEW since day one and has seen all the highs and lows, but sometimes it doesn’t matter how bumpy the journey is because it’s the journey itself that matters. He thanks the fans who have been here since day one and expresses his gratitude for the support of the fans.

The lights go out, and when they come back on, a masked person appears behind Omega. They take off their mask to reveal themselves as Andrade. Andrade beats down Omega and delivers The Message to him, then shakes Don Callis’ hand. Callis raises Andrade’s hand up and heads to the back with him.

Mark Briscoe Addresses MJF

After a six year highlight package wraps up, we shoot backstage where we hear from Mark Briscoe. The master of Redneck Kung Fu addresses being consumed with the thought of MJF. He talks about beating MJF at AEW All Out: Toronto and sending him on a sabbatical.

He then turns his attention to the fact that he and his friend Hologram have lost their chances at winning gold. He hypes up Orange Cassidy getting a shot tonight, saying he can be happy for his friends and how he’ll be celebrating with Cassidy when he wins the title, and MJF will be sitting at home licking his wounds and recovering.

TNT Championship
Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Orange Cassidy

The bell rings and Cassidy rolls up Fletcher. Fletcher kicks out, but Cassidy looks to roll him up once again. Fletcher blocks him, but Cassidy looks to execute a backslide on him. Fletcher blocks him and looks to execute a backslide of his own, but Cassidy manages to block him and rolls outside for a breather. Cassidy looks to put his hands into his pocket, but Fletcher lands a boot on the side of his face. Cassidy then delivers a dive to Fletcher through the middle rope and ascends to the top, but Fletcher trips him.

Back from the break, Fletcher mocks Cassidy by landing Cassidy’s signature kicks on him. He levels him with a kick to his head, but Cassidy delivers a Tornado DDT to Fletcher. Fletcher looks to land a Brainbuster on Cassidy, but Cassidy counters into a Stun Dog Millionaire and follows it up with a DDT to him. He goes for a pin, but Fletcher kicks out.

Cassidy sets up for Beach Breaker, but Fletcher escapes. Cassidy rolls up Fletcher, but Fletcher kicks out and delivers a piledriver to Cassidy. He goes for a pin of his own, but Cassidy kicks out. Fletcher and Cassidy teeter on the ropes, and Cassidy fires off forearms on Fletcher. He delivers a headbutt to Fletcher that sends him crashing into the mat, then points to his neck.

A person wearing a Hologram mask appears and forces Don Callis to back down, but then trips Cassidy. Fletcher takes advantage and delivers a Brainbuster to Cassidy on the turnbuckle for the win.

Winner (and still): Kyle Fletcher

After the match, Fletcher and the person in a Hologram mask beat down Cassidy until Mark Briscoe and The Paragon come to Cassidy’s aid. The rest of the Don Callis Family joins Fletcher and Callis on the entrance ramp, and the person in the Hologram mask reveals themselves as El Clon.

Mercedes Moné Makes AEW Title Tuesday Announcement For Next Week

After the post-match scene following the Fletcher vs. Cassidy title tilt wraps up, we shoot backstage where “The Remarkable” Renee Paquette is standing by with her special guest at this time, “The CEO” herself, Mercedes Moné. Moné boasts soon being the longest-reigning TBS Champion in company history.

Moné looks forward to defending the title next week on Title Tuesday, before the conversation turns to the new AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship. Mercedes wonders who will be her tag team partner, and this brings out mini-Moné — the puppet controlled by Harley Cameron.

Although ‘The CEO’ turns down Harley Cameron, refusing to align herself with someone who loses as much as she does in tag team competition. She walks off as the puppet insists that Moné is just playing hard to get. Paquette tries telling her otherwise as the segment fades out.

Jon Moxley & The Death Riders vs. Hangman Page & The Opps

Samoa Joe and Claudio Castagnoli begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. They fire off forearms on one another, but Joe knocks Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia off the apron. Moxley tags in and fires off right hands on Joe in the corner with Garcia before Garcia tags in and wears down Joe. Moxley tags back in, but Joe delivers a running senton to him.

Page and Garcia tag in, and Page rains down right hands on Garcia in the corner. He lands a Fallaway Slam on him, then dumps him onto the apron and flies over the top rope to level him. Page dumps Garcia back in the ring and looks to powerbomb him, but Garcia rains down right hands on Page. Powerhouse Hobbs and Moxley tag in, and Garcia squares up to Hobbs. Hobbs runs over Garcia, but Moxley dropkicks Hobbs out of the ring and flies through the middle rope looking to land a dive on him. Hobbs sees Moxley coming and sends him crashing into the ring apron spine first repeatedly.

Back from the break, Garcia lands a forearm on Hobbs as Moxley holds him in place. Castagnoli tags back in and connects with a Gut Wrench suplex on Hobbs, but Page tags in and delivers a Death Valley Driver to Garcia. Joe looks to tag in, but Page opts not to tag him out when he decides he’s not done with Moxley.

Page sets up for Dead Eye on Moxley, but Moxley escapes and looks to lock in the Bulldog Choke on Page. Page avoids it but Castagnoli tags in. Moxley delivers a piledriver to Page, and Castagnoli follows it up with a running uppercut. Moxley connects with a DDT on Joe, but Page surprises him with a Buckshot Lariat. Castagnoli then lands a pop-up uppercut on Page and pins him, but Page kicks out and delivers a Dead Eye to Castagnoli. He follows it up with the Buckshot Lariat for the win.

Winners: “Hangman” Adam Page and The Opps

After the match, Joe gets in Page’s face for him not tagging him in. Things become tense between the pair, buts Hobbs calms them down and security runs to the ring before a massive brawl can break out between Page and Joe.

A video package with promotion for a match for AEW Collision airs featuring comments from Stokely Hathaway reacting to Willow Nightingale and JetSpeed’s recent actions, which leads to “Big Stoke” issuing a challenge for Saturday’s show.

On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into another commercial break. When the show returns, we see Renee Paquette backstage with a fired-up Hangman Page. He addresses what we saw moments ago at the end of his match involving himself and Samoa Joe.

Hangman continues, saying that this is all about the fact Samoa Joe is upset about never losing the title to Page. He brings up how Joe mentioned many times during their pull-apart just now that he never beat him. He then offers Joe a shot at the AEW World Championship at AEW WrestleDream 2025.

“Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Tay Melo

The bell rings and the two lock up. Melo wears down Storm with a submission hold.

Back from the break, Melo has another submission cinched in on Storm. She connects with a pair of pump kicks on Storm in the corner, but Storm sends Melo crashing into the mat with a Bull Dog. Melo delivers a chop to Storm, but Storm lands a DDT on Melo and sets up for a Hip Attack. Melo moves out of the way and fires off stomps on Storm in the corner, then sets up for the Tay-KO. Storm avoids it, then delivers a Hip Attack and Storm Zero for the win.

Winner: Toni Storm

After the match, Storm grabs a microphone and says she didn’t hear victory or defeat at All Out but rather nothing. She says it was a silence so deep that it gobbled her up, then says Kris Statlander was everything she wasn’t at All Out: a glorious champion. She says when she left the ring, all the questions followed her into the dark and she began to wonder who she was without the AEW Women’s World Championship. She tells Statlander she’s not done with her and wants to challenge her one-on-one, then tells Statlander to name the time and place.

Samoa Joe Responds To Hangman Page’s Challenge

A video package airs promoting Eddie Kingston vs. Dralistico on this Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision. Once we hear from both guys, the package wraps up. We then shift gears and head into another commercial break. When the show returns, we head backstage.

We hear from Samoa Joe, who talks about the “misunderstanding” that’s led to his issues with Hangman Page. He talks about being so distracted with The Death Riders that he’s nearly forgot who he is. He is Samoa Joe, the man Page never beat for the AEW World Championship. The match is now official for AEW WrestleDream.

The Gates Of Agony vs. The Swirl

Toa Liona and Johnson begin the action. The bell rings and Liona wears down Johnson in the corner. Bishop Kaun tags in and follows suit, but Christian tags in and lands a springboard kick on Kaun. He looks to land a second one, but Kaun intercepts Christian and sends him crashing into the mat with a Fallaway Slam.

Back from the break, Kaun charges at Christian in the corner. Johnson tags in and flies over the top rope to level Kaun on the outside. He dumps him back in the ring, but Liona intercepts Johnson. Johnson sends Lion crashing into the ring post, and Christain flies to level him on the outside. Gates Of Agony then double team on Johnson for the win.

Winners: Gates Of Agony

After the match, Ricochet dumps Christian into the ring and connects with the Spirit Gun. The Hurt Syndicate’s music hits and they make their way out. MVP gets his hometown crowd hyped up, then apologizes to the fans, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin for being the one The Gates Of Agony and Ricochet beat at All Out. He ponders losing a step and not being the wrestler he once was, but says he wants to fight in a Six Man No Disqualification Street Fight. Ricochet accepts on behalf of himself and Gates Of Agony.

We then head backstage, where Kris Statlander accepts Toni Storm’s challenge to an AEW Women’s World Championship match at WrestleDream while speaking with Renee Paquette.

Don Callis Family Issue Challenge For AEW Title Tuesday

Now we head to a different area backstage, where we see Don Callis. Callis goes on to address the new additions of Andrade and “El Clon” to The Don Callis Family from earlier in the show. From there, he goes on to issue a challenge, too.

Callis challenges Brodido for the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Don Callis Family duo of Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada. This leads to some tension between the pair, before Callis cuts in. Callis tells Brodido they’re in a lot of trouble at Title Tuesday next week. We head to another break.

Mixed Tornado Tag Main Event
Darby Allin & Kris Statlander vs. Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir

Allin and Statlander attack Yuta and Shafir near the entrance tunnel as they make their entrance. The bell rings and all four competitors begin brawling with one another as Shafir cinches in a submission on Allin. Statlander fights her off, but Shafir delivers a kick to her as Allin chokes out Yuta with his own shirt.

Statlander strikes a pose, but Shafir uses her legs to lock in a chokehold on her. Statlander sends Shafir crashing into the barricade face first as Allin and Yuta brawl down the stairs. Statlander delivers a crossbody off one of the railings to level both Shafir and Yuta.

Allin hits Yuta with a chair in the ringside area, then sits him on the chair and looks to fly through the middle rope. Yuta ducks out of the way and Allin is sent crashing into the chair as Statlander fights Shafir off and fires off knees on her midsection. Shafir sits Statlander on the announce desk and delivers a series of kicks to her chest.

Back from the break, Shafir trips Statlander in the ring and dials it up for a 619 before pulling Statlander out of the ring with a pair of headscissors. Yuta lands a suplex on Allin in the ring on top of a pile of chairs as Statlander delivers a suplex to Shafir off the barricade and through the timekeeper’s table. Allin delivers a superplex to Yuta in the ring off the middle rope and onto the pile of chairs, then goes for a pin but Yuta kicks out.

Allin jams Yuta’s hand into the ring post using his knee, but Yuta catches Allin with a hanging neckbreaker to him on the ring apron off the ring post. Yuta grabs a bag and dumps it out to reveal a whole bunch of thumb tacks. Statlander brings the fight to Yuta, but Yuta gets her up on her shoulders and drives her into the mat. He looks to send her through the tacks, but Statlander sends him crashing into the pile of chairs. Shafir surprises Statlander from behind with a chokehold, but Statlander manages to send Shafir crashing into the thumb tacks feet first. Yuta looks to throw powder into Allin’s eyes, but Allin ducks out of the way and Yuta hits Shafir with the power. Statlander delivers a 450 Splash to Yut and Shafir stacked on top of one another, and Allin delivers a Coffin Drop to Yuta off the top rope. Allin and Statlande then both pin Yuta for the win.

Winners: Kris Statlander and Darby Allin

After the match, Toni Storm makes her way out and stares down Statlander on the entrance ramp. The pair begin brawling as Allin lashes Yuta across his spine with a belt. PAC attacks Allin from behind and fires off stomps on Allin as Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia make their way out. PAC chokes Allin with his belt, and Moxley tells Allin that he has no chance at doing what he needs to do to defeat him at WrestleDream. He says Allin will say the words “I Quit” for the first time in his life at WrestleDream, and PAC then runs over Allin with a clothesline. He retreats through the crowd with the rest of The Death Riders as the show goes off the air.
