WWE in Talks for Sponsorship Deal Featuring El Grande Americano – WWE may be preparing to land a major sponsorship deal centered around one of its most distinctive characters, El Grande Americano. According to WrestleVotes Radio, discussions have taken place between WWE and a leading food and beverage company for a promotional and dual branding agreement tied to the masked luchador.
While talks are ongoing, sources stressed that there is no indication yet if or when a deal will be finalized. WrestleVotes noted, “While we can confirm that talks have taken place, there is currently no indication of when, or even if, a deal may be finalized. El Grande Americano, who’s been featured on TV regularly, could be in for a bigger role if this endorsement winds up happening.”
The character made his debut in March 2025, billed as a 202-pound luchador from the “Gulf of America” with a legendary Lucha Libre background. He quickly became a fixture on WWE programming by joining Chad Gable’s “American Made” faction alongside The Creed Brothers. His identity has remained an ongoing in-joke among fans. Originally portrayed by Gable himself, the role shifted after Gable suffered an injury, with WWE later rotating other talents like Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne into the mask.
A sponsorship deal could push El Grande Americano into a more prominent spot on WWE television. If finalized, the partnership would represent a rare case of WWE tying one of its story-driven characters directly to a corporate sponsorship, potentially opening the door for new opportunities in marketing and merchandising.
