Eddie Kingston Teased For AEW Return Following Big Bill Promo On Collision – Eddie Kingston may be on the verge of an AEW comeback after being directly called out during Saturday’s episode of Collision.

In a promo, Big Bill addressed the crowd about his New York roots, saying he knows another guy from the same city who has a reputation for being tough and outspoken but hasn’t been seen in quite some time. He then made it official by dropping the name: Eddie Kingston.

Kingston, a former ROH World Champion, has been sidelined for more than a year following a brutal injury at NJPW Resurgence. During a suplex spot through a table, Kingston’s legs crashed into a barricade, resulting in a broken leg along with torn ACL and meniscus damage. The setback has kept him out of action ever since.

Despite the lengthy recovery, Kingston recently gave fans hope about a return. Speaking last month on Cezar Bononi’s podcast, he admitted that while he wasn’t yet cleared, he was preparing himself for the moment he gets the green light.

“My job, right now, is to be ready for when it’s time,” Kingston explained. “You never know when that call is. I talked to my boss. I talked to him and everything is good. Everything takes time. I’m not cleared yet. I feel, because I’ve done practice, sparring matches, I feel like I can go right now, but again I’m not (medically cleared).”

With Big Bill and Bryan Keith making waves as a tag team on Collision in recent months, Kingston’s name being brought into the mix suggests AEW may be laying the groundwork for his return storyline. Whether he comes back to confront Big Bill, reignite his reputation as a gritty fighter, or re-establish himself in the singles division, fans may not have to wait much longer to see him back in action.
