Becky Lynch & CM Punk Engage in Explosive Confrontation on WWE RAW in Paris – The tension between Seth Rollins and CM Punk escalated to new heights on the September 1 episode of WWE RAW in Paris, France, when Becky Lynch confronted Punk in the ring in what turned into a fiery war of words.
The segment began with Punk demanding Rollins come face him one-on-one, declaring he would hijack the show until “The Visionary” appeared. Instead, Rollins’ music hit and Becky Lynch emerged, mocking her husband’s entrance before telling Punk that she was “the man he’ll have to deal with tonight.”
What followed was a heated back-and-forth exchange. Punk dismissed Becky’s involvement, telling her to call her husband instead. Lynch refused, saying she wouldn’t let Punk’s lies about her family go unanswered. She defended Rollins’ accomplishments and sacrifices, declaring both she and her husband have elevated WWE to where it is today.
“You are not what the business needs,” Becky told Punk. “You don’t fit the vision. I am the greatest female wrestler of all time. We run both divisions — you need to get the hell out of the way.”
Punk fired back, mocking Rollins as a “paper champion” who hides behind allies and now his wife. He told Becky she was a talented star but “married a bum.” As the Paris crowd showered Punk with “Best in the World” chants, he made it clear his war with Rollins was far from over.
The confrontation turned physical when Rollins finally appeared on the stage, taunting Punk from a distance. As Punk tried to leave, Becky cut him off and then decked him with a punch before slapping him across the face. “You’re pathetic,” Becky spat as Punk seethed.
Later in the show, an enraged Punk stormed backstage looking for Rollins, only to be told by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce that Rollins had already left. When Pearce reminded Punk that SmackDown this week will be in Chicago — Punk’s hometown — Punk grinned and replied: “Tremendous.”
The moment further fuels speculation surrounding the possible WWE return of Punk’s wife, AJ Lee. Following the controversial finish at Clash in Paris, where Becky’s interference cost Punk the World Heavyweight Championship, Fightful Select reported that AJ’s name has been mentioned in several recent creative pitches. Tonight’s segment, combined with Punk’s hint at recruiting someone from Chicago to deal with Becky, has only intensified the rumors.
If AJ Lee were to return, it could set the stage for a blockbuster continuation of the Punk–Rollins–Lynch storyline, bringing one of wrestling’s most beloved figures back into the spotlight after nearly a decade away.
