WWE Reportedly Hasn’t Offered New Contracts to Karrion Kross and Scarlett Ahead of Imminent Expiration – Karrion Kross may have just wrapped up his feud with Sami Zayn at WWE SummerSlam, but his future with the company is now in serious doubt.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Kross and Scarlett were not backstage for the August 4 episode of RAW, just one night after Kross suffered a loss to Zayn on Night One of SummerSlam. While fans recently speculated that Kross had signed a new deal—partly due to increased television time and fresh merchandise—it appears that no new contract has actually been signed.
The report notes that a WWE higher-up confirmed Kross and Scarlett’s current deals are set to expire this coming weekend. What’s more concerning is that no new contracts have been offered to either of them.
Unlike recent re-signing situations involving R-Truth and Carlito, in which those talents were formally notified about their expiring deals before eventually re-signing, Kross and Scarlett have reportedly not been informed about the upcoming lapse in their contracts. This lack of communication has only fueled speculation about whether WWE plans to renew their deals at all.
Kross had been featured more prominently in recent weeks, including main roster matches and a more aggressive on-screen presence alongside Scarlett. However, the feud with Sami Zayn—launched earlier this year—was widely believed to be his last major storyline unless a new agreement was reached.
Unless WWE moves quickly to offer new contracts in the coming days, this weekend could mark the end of Kross and Scarlett’s current WWE run.
