Street Profits Earn WWE Tag Team Title Shot at Clash in Paris – The Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, have secured a WWE Tag Team Championship opportunity at WWE Clash in Paris. They earned the victory on the August 29 episode of SmackDown by defeating Melo Don’t Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz) in a number one contenders match.
The finish of the bout saw interference from The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Uncle Howdy, and Dexter Lumis), who distracted Hayes and Miz. Taking advantage of the distraction, The Street Profits executed The Revalation on Hayes to claim the win and secure their title shot.
The matchup for the championships at Clash in Paris will see The Street Profits challenging Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy of The Wyatt Sicks. Leading up to this, Melo Don’t Miz defeated the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), while Ford and Dawkins overcame MFTs (Tonga Loa & JC Mateo) on last week’s SmackDown, setting the stage for today’s number one contenders bout.
