Stakes Raised for Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria at WWE SummerSlam – The Women’s Intercontinental Championship bout between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria at WWE SummerSlam is now official—and more intense than ever.
Following Lyra Valkyria’s hard-fought victory over Bayley in a two-out-of-three falls match on the July 14 episode of RAW, she earned the right to challenge Becky Lynch for the title. This will be the third one-on-one encounter between the two, and both competitors raised the stakes during the July 21 edition of RAW.
Lynch proposed a high-risk stipulation: if Valkyria loses at SummerSlam, she will never be allowed to challenge for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship again as long as Lynch is champion. Valkyria not only accepted the condition, but escalated the situation by suggesting their bout be contested under No Disqualification and No Count-Out rules. Lynch agreed to the terms, but when she extended her hand for a show of respect, Valkyria blindsided her with a Manhandle Slam—sending a strong message ahead of their SummerSlam clash.
The storyline between Lynch and Valkyria has been building steadily over the past few months, with their previous encounters showcasing intense physicality and competitive fire. With these new stipulations in place, their upcoming bout could mark a turning point in both of their careers.
