Jelly Roll Confronts Logan Paul on SmackDown, Will Be in Randy Orton’s Corner at SNME – The July 11 episode of WWE SmackDown delivered more than just championship action—it featured a memorable moment for Nashville’s own Jelly Roll, who made a headline-worthy appearance at the Bridgestone Arena.
The Grammy-winning artist and lifelong WWE fan was in high spirits as he appeared on the show in his hometown. SmackDown opened with a backstage segment featuring Jelly Roll and Randy Orton, with the two exchanging mutual respect and setting the tone for the night.
Later in the show, just after the Wyatt Sicks captured the WWE Tag Team Titles, the arena was transformed for a live musical performance. Jelly Roll made his way to the ring while performing his hit song “Liar,” accompanied by his full band and a raucous Nashville crowd singing along.
However, the performance was abruptly cut short by Logan Paul. The former U.S. Champion interrupted mid-chorus, immediately drawing heat from the crowd. Paul insulted Jelly Roll, mocking his tattoos and falsely claiming he didn’t have custody of his children—referencing a past legal battle. He then called Jelly Roll a “disgusting clout-chaser” who didn’t belong in a WWE ring.
As the crowd booed loudly, Jelly Roll stood his ground. That’s when Randy Orton’s voice echoed through the arena.
“Outsider? Outsider? You’ve got the balls to call that man an outsider in his own freaking town! That man is one of the biggest names in the music industry in his hometown. If anyone’s an outsider, then it’s you!” Orton said, storming to the ring.
Before Orton could go any further, Drew McIntyre struck with a surprise Claymore Kick, laying Orton out. Logan Paul then tried to pile on, but Jelly Roll intervened, pulling Paul off Orton and throwing him down to the mat. Fans erupted in cheers for Jelly Roll as WWE officials separated the chaos. A furious Paul retaliated by smashing Jelly Roll’s band’s equipment at ringside.
Later, in a backstage segment, Orton thanked Jelly Roll for stepping in and invited him to be in his corner for his match against McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Jelly Roll accepted, saying he’d be honored to support “The Viper.”
As previously reported, WWE is setting the stage for Jelly Roll’s official in-ring debut at SummerSlam against Logan Paul. But before that, the music superstar will be ringside with Randy Orton for what promises to be a major showdown at SNME.
