Alberto El Patron Exiled from AAA – Alberto El Patron has officially been exiled from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide following a dramatic main event loss on the July 25 episode of AAA Alianzas, held at the Juan de la Barrera Gymnasium in Mexico City.
The main event saw El Patron face off against El Mesias in a high-stakes bout. The match took a controversial turn when El Ojo interfered, throwing powder into El Patron’s face and setting him up for a devastating spear from El Mesias. The interference led directly to El Patron’s defeat. Due to the stipulation of the match, the loss meant immediate exile from AAA.
After the match, Latin Lover entered the ring to console El Patron, and the two shared a visibly emotional embrace as the show faded to black. The segment closed what may be the final chapter of Patron’s run with AAA.
El Patron had made a full-time return to AAA in 2024, initially aligning himself with El Ojo — the same faction that ultimately turned on him. During his recent run, he held the AAA Mega Championship for 287 days before dropping the title to Hijo del Vikingo.
The exile storyline comes amid real-world developments, including WWE’s acquisition of AAA earlier this year. As previously reported, WWE has no plans to work with El Patron due to his controversial past. The decision to write him off TV may align with the company’s broader strategy of promoting new talent and steering away from figures that don’t fit its current corporate image.
While it’s unclear if the exile will lead to a future return, all signs point to El Patron being done with AAA — at least for now.
