Back from a commercial, we take a look back at last week’s NXT from Houston.
Jaida Parker vs. Jazmyn Nyx
Jacy Jayne says tonight is a big night for Fatal Influence. It is time for Jazmyn to prove that she is a baddie.
They lock up and Parker backs Nyx into the corner and she pats Jazmyn on the top of the head. Nyx with kicks to the chest and back. Nyx has a kick blocked and Parker with a forearm. Nyx with a back elbow and a springboard round kick for a near fall. Jaida blocks a suplex and she hits a gourdbuster followed by a blockbuster for a near fall. Parker with an Irish whip but she runs into a boot in the corner. Parker pulls Nyx to the mat by the hair. Nyx with a leg lariat. Nyx sends Jaida’s head into the mat a few times. Nyx works on the back and she applies a Muta Lock and she holds on to the front face lock. Jaida with a back body drop and she tries for a reverse suplex but Nyx lands on her feet. They exchange punches and Nyx with a round kick for a near fall.
Nyx pie faces Jaida and Jaida with chops and a back elbow followed by a Samoan drop. Parker puts Nyx on the middle rope and she hits the springboard seated splash. Parker with a running hip for the three count.
Winner: Jaida Parker
After the match, Jacy and Fallon enter the ring and they lecture Nyx about her loss.
— Je’Von Evans walks in the back and he comes up to Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe. Chase U talks about what Kale and Uriah are doing. Andre says things are tough and it is time for them to go after the biggest dogs in the yard. Evans says Chase is right and now he is going to do it too.
We go to commercial.
— We are back and Je’Von Evans makes his way to the ring.
Evans says he ain’t gonna lie. Last week was crazy as hell. Houston was on fire. He met the Undertaker. This hall of famer game him some legendary advice and said I should go after the biggest dog in the yard.
Trick Williams’ music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.
He says the biggest dog has arrived. He says he knows Je’Von is on his big horse and has talked to the Undertaker. He says there are three things he shouldn’t do. Pull Superman’s cape, try Trick Williams, or try the biggest star. He says they did this before and you know what happened. He is hotter now than ever.
Evans tells Trick to slow down. You have this big dog energy and he reminds Trick what Taker did to him last week.
Trick says he does not deserve that but he did get slammed by the Undertaker but he is still the TNA champion and the biggest thing in TNA and NXT. He says it would be a mistake to do Trick wrong.
Evans says he wasn’t talking about Trick, he was talking about Oba Femi.
Trick says Evans disrespected him again. Oba wishes he is Trick Willy, let’s talk about that. He had lust in his eyes and he wishes he had Trick’s title. He says he will take Oba’s title and become a two time champ.
Evans says that is where we have a problem. If you get in his way, he will erase Oba from the equation.
Wes Lee comes out and he tells Trick not to let this young whippersnaper get under his skin. He says Evans should be calling out Oba but Trick is on a different level. Wes says Taker gave advice to the wrong person. You are not ready for a title. Some people have a special connection with the crowd but some times he leaves people empty. Wes says he is the greatest North American champion. He says Evans will be a good champion but it will be a long time. They will stop you from getting to Trick.
Evans says if he is going to start, he will start tonight and he will go after Wes.
Evans punches Wes and then Tyson, Tyriek, and Trick attack Evans. They hold Wes and Wes with a Cardiac Kick.
Wes says he will talk to Ava about getting this match tonight.
We go to commercial.
— We see Kale and Uriah talking about going after the biggest dogs in the yard, the tag champs. They have chairs and Uriah says if they take them out, they get a title match. They ask if they know if they are in there. We see Hank and Tank in the locker room and they want to know what Kale and Uriah are doing. They enter and we have a stand off. Hank and Tank want to know why they are doing this. Hank says all you have to do is ask for a title match. Tank says they love Mr. Chase and will help them out. Let’s make it for next week. Andre Chase shows up and they tell him what they were going to do and Chase says he didn’t tell them to use chairs.
Tavion Heights vs. Charlie Dempsey
They lock up and Tavion goes for the leg but Charlie fights him off. Charlie with a wrist lock and Tavion with a wrist lock take down and a drop toe hold into a waist lock. Charlie with a waist lock and Tavion with a standing switch. Charlie with a wrist lock and a back drop into an arm bar. Tavion with a head scissors and Charlie escapes. Tavion with a top wrist lock and side head lock. Charlie with a side head lock take down but Tavion with a side head lock. Tavion with a shoulder tackle and he catches Charlie on a leap frog. Tavion rolls through and he gets Charlie up but Charlie gets to his feet. Tavion with a take down and he gets a near fall. Tavion with a shoulder tackle and a side head lock take down.
Tavion holds on to the side head lock while Charlie tries to escape. Charlie with a reversal. Both go for cross body presses and both go down. Tavion with a waist lock and a rollup for a near fall. Tavion gets another near fall. Tavion with a Gator roll and Charlie tries to escape but Tavion holds on and gets a near fall. Charlie with an arm wringer and Tavion is sent into the turnbuckles. Charlie with a European uppercut and he works on the arm. Charlie with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Charlie stomps on the elbow and he applies an arm bar. Tavion with a forearm and Charlie with a German suplex for a near fall. Charle goes for a crossface chicken wing but Tavion fights it off and he backs Charlie into the ropes and connects with elbows. Charlie with a knee to the midsection and he gets a near fall.
Charlie stomps on the elbow and he applies a double wrist lock. Charlie adds pressure to the arm and he takes Tavion to the mat and he holds on to the double wrist lock. Tavion goes for an exploder but he cannot fight through the pressure of the wrist lock. Tavion with an exploder and a leg sweep. Tvion with a drop kick and a flying clothesline. Charlie goes to the floor and Tavion follows. Charlie is sent into the ring steps. Tavion kicks Charlie and Charlie pushes Tavion off the ring steps. Charlie sends Tavion into the ring steps and ring post. Charlie sends Tavion back into the ring and Charlie goes for the leg and hits a dragon screw. Charlie with a single leg crab. Charlie pulls Tavion into the center of the ring and he stomps on the knee. Charlie returns to the single leg crab and Wren looks for a towel but cannont find one.
Tavion rolls through and he kicks Charlie away. Tavion with an inside cradle for a near fall. Tavion with a flying clothesline and a double leg take down and he gets Charlie on his shoulders and he hits a Death Valley Driver. Charlie with a shot to the knee and he goes for a butterfly suplex, but Tavion with a belly-to-belly suplex for the three count.
Winner: Tavion Heights
After the match, Chralie shakes Tavion’s hand.
— Trick is with High Ryze and Trick says they take care of Je’Von tonight and he wants to talk about it. Wes asks if Trick can get Tyson and Tyriek a tag title match. Santino Marella says he is the stroke in TNA. Tonight, he is a WWE Superstar against Ethan Page for the North American title. Santino says the TNA title is coming home soon.
— Blake Monroe walks in the back as we go to commercial.
— We are back and Blake Monroe makes her way to the ring.
Blake reminds Booker what her name is (after last week). She tells him to learn it and love it or he will end up in a medical facility like Jordynne Grace.
Why Jordynne Grace? The answer is so simple. Jordynne isn’t good enough. You can all relate to it, but there are protein shakes with more personality than her. She is a background player. This is the deepest division in women’s wrestling. You can’t have a champion who looks like ‘this’ and we see old photos of Jordynne. Blake says you are saying that Jordynne has transformed herself. She is alone and she does not see a juggernaut in the mirror. She is not championship material, that is gym membership material.
Blake says she is star power and what you build a brand about. WWE knew about her before she started to wrestle. She convince you to buy her stuff to look like her. When you look this good, you don’t have to change a thing. She is not here to play nice. You can feel bad for JG but she cannot carry the division.
Lola Vice comes out and she tells Blake to shut her mouth. How can you be so beautiful but so ugly inside. She says Blake is right. We have the deepest women’s division, but you are not going to be the champ of it. You want to talk about star power. That is flying around the world to represent WWE in AAA, not taking photos backstage. She made news dancing with Nikki Bella.
Jaida Parker interrupts and she comes to the ring and she says all she keeps hearing is Evolution This and Viral moments That. She says she doesn’t need no Bella Twin or betrayal to make noise. She sys you saw what she did to Jazmyn Nyx. She says she is coming after the title.
Blake says you are just going to be little JG Juniors.
Jorydnne Grace’s music plays and it is Kelani Jordan and she says she isn’t the Jordynne you are looking for. She says NXT represented at Evolution. She says she is not here to talk about the past, but to talk about the future. You cannot talk about the future without talking about her. She tells Blake to prove it against a former champion. On your best day, you can’t do it like Lani.
Blake says it is cute that you got some personality. She suggests putting Jordan in a medical facility.
Blake with a head butt and Lola kicks Jaida. Jordan drop kicks Blake to the floor. Blake seeks refuge in Jaida’s arms and Jaida pushes her away.
— Tatum and Izzi are in the back and Tatum is excited to beat Zaria. Now she wants to challenge Sol Ruca. Izzi says she didn’t pin the champion. Shawn congratulates Tatum for the big win. Shawn says Tatum has a title match next week and Izzi is ‘happy’ for Tatum. Izzi says Sol got lucky at the Great American Bash so they will all be in her corner next week. Tatum is so happy and we see Luca Crusifino says that no family lasts forever.
— Lash Legend says she is the most dominant in NXT. After she is done with Fallon Henley, there is a clear path to the women’s championship.
We go to commercial.
Lash Legend vs Fallon Henley
They lock up and Fallon has something to say. Lash with punches to Fallon in the ropes. Fallon with chops and Lash gets Fallon and presses her over her head. Lash with a splash for a near fall. Lash with a seated splash to the back and Fallon with a sunset flip and Lash windmills to avoid going over. Lash misses a bicycle kick and Lash catches Fallon and rings her head on the top and middle rope. Lash with a back breaker. Lash misses a splash and Fallon with a blockbuster off the turnbuckles. Fallon kicks Lash. Fallon with a take down by the hair and she gets a near fall. Fallon with a sleeper. Lash runs Fallon into the turnbuckles to get out of the hold. Lash blocks a kick but Fallon with a chop and a wheelbarrow into a bulldog. Lash stops Fallon but Fallon counters with a rana. Lash avoids the take down and she chops Fallon and follows with a forearm.
Lash with a knee to the back and a fallaway slam. Lash with a forearm to knock Fallon off the ropes to the floor. Lash with a forearm to Nyx and Lash sends Fallon into the apron. Jacy misses a shot with the belt and Nia Jax with a forearm. Nia sends Lash into the ring and Fallon with a Fameasser for the three count.
Winner: Fallon Henley
After the match, Nia with a forearm to Lash followed by an aNIAlator.

— Josh Briggs is angry at his loss and Channing says it is tough. Inamura shows up and goes after Josh. Channing says family is not forever. Inamura slaps Channing and he says he will see him next week.
Je’Von Evans vs. Wes Lee
Evans with a plancha before the match starts and they exchange punches. Evans with forearms and Lee with a punch. Evans with a punch. Evans punches Wes and the referee starts the match.
Evans with a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Lee with punches and a snap mare followed by a drop kick to the back of the neck. Wes with a boot to the head. Wes misses a shooting star press when Evans moves. Evans with a chop and he avoids one from Wes. Wes with a punch and Evans with a chop to Wes as he comes off the ropes. Evans chops Wes. Wes with an Irish whip and Evans with a chop. Wes with a chop and punch to the back. Wes with a kick to the ribs. Wes sends Evans into the turnbuckles.
Evans with an Rish whip and Wes with a reversal and Evans slides into the corner and kicks Wes. Igwe stops Evans from going to the turnbuckles and Wes pushes Evans to the floor. Wes with a flip dive over Evans. Wes with forearms to Evans and he sends Evans into the apron. Wes with a kick to the back. Wes sends Evans back into the ring and he connects with an elbow to the back of the head and he gets a near fall. Evans with punches and Wes with punches of his own. Wes with a kick to the back followed by a twisting senton to the back for a near fall. Wes with shoulders in the corner. Wes gets Evans on his shoulders and he hits an accordion slam. Wes with a punch to the back of the head. Wes with a leg drop.
Wes with another leg drop. Wes gets a near fall. Wes with a front face lock. Wes with knees and he gets Evans to his knees. Wes with a guillotine. Wes blocks a suplex and gets a near fall with an inside cradle. Wes with forearms. Evans with a punch followed by a kick to the back of the head. Evans with a German suplex. Evans with a punch and a Superman punch followed by a rebound round kick for a near fall. Evans with a punch in the corner followed by an Irish whip. Evans runs into a boot and Wes with a kick and a tornado DDT. Wes with a brainbuster for a near fall. Wes goes up top and Evans hits Wes from behind and Wes is in the tree of woe. Evans goes to the apron for a coast to coast senton and he goes up top for a frog splash for a near fall. Evans sets for the double jump cutter but Dupont gets on the apron and distracts Evans. Evans punches Wes and Evans kicks Igwe and avoids Dupont and kicks him.
Wes goes to the floor and Evans with a plancha onto Igwe and Dupont. Wes with an inside cradle for a near fall. Wes with a Cardiac Kick but Evans gets his foot on the ropes. Wes argues with the referee and Evans with a rollup for a near fall. Evans with a cutter and he goes for a double jump cutter and the three count.
Winner: Je’Von Evans
Oba Femi shows up on the HBalKony to show everyone his title belt.

— We are back and Vic had a chance to talk to Myles Borne earlier today.
Vic asks Myles about Lexis King and the things he has said and done and how it affects him.
He says he is mostly deaf despite what Lexis says. He talks about how he flatlined a few times and there was a chance he might not survive. He says the radiation from the ventilator he used took 90 percent of his hearing.
He says communication isn’t really his thing. He says he used to grab his face to point them to him so he could read their lips. It helps him communicate. Anything helps him. Myles screws with Vic and he says he has fun with it. Some people don’t get it, like Lexis King, and you can’t let them win. You need to block people like that out.
— Robert Stone says that Ricky Saints has broken ribs. Stevie talks about Jordynne Grace’s injuries and that she is lucky. Lexis King shows up and he says that everyone knows he is not deaf and everyone is falling for it. He says if Myles is deaf, then he is blind. Ava tells Lexis he has a match against Myles. Lexis says he can show that Myles is a fraud in the ring.
— Next week, Blake Monroe faces Kelani Jordan. Sol Ruca faces Tatum Paxley for the North American Title. Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon face Hank Walker and Tank Ledger for the tag titles.

— During the break, Jacy asked about their performance and Fallon says one out of two isn’t bad and she got her job done. Jazmyn says Fallon only won because of Nia. Nia tells Lash that she doesn’t measure up.

They lock up and Santino with a waist lock take down and a crucifix for a near fall. Santino with an inside cradle for a near fall. Santino with a La Magistral for a near fall. Santino with a wrist lock and Ethan with a punch. Page with punches to Santino. Page with an Irish whip and Santino floats over and he gives Ethan a few arm drags and Santino get a near fall. Santino with a jackknife cover for a near fall. Ethan pulls Santino into the ropes. Ethan with a double sledge to the back. Ethan chokes Santino. Page with punches. Santino with a sunset flip for a near fall. Page with a boot to the head. Page gets a near fall. Page gets another near fall. Page with a reverse chin lock.
Santino with punches to escape. Page with an Irish whip and he misses a splash. Santino with an airplane spin and he falls into the ropes. Santino misses a diving head butt and Page goes for a cutter but misses. Santino with a stunner and a diving head butt. Santino gets a near fall. Page with a round kick to the temple for a near fall. Page pulls Santino into position and he goes up top. Page goes for a frog splash and Santino gets his knees up. Santino with jabs and a split followed by a hip toss. Santino with a pescado. Santino goes into his gear for the cobra. Page sees it coming and Page pushes the referee out of the way. Page with a thumb to the eyes and Twisted Grit for the three count.

7/29 NXT Preview
Ethan Page will defend the North American Championship tonight for the first time since retaining against Ricky Saints in a Falls Count Anywhere Match at NXT The Great American Bash on July 12. His challenger is Santino Marella, who will be stepping into a WWE ring for the first time since appearing as Santina Marella in the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble. Marella interrupted Page’s unveiling of a new Canadian-inspired championship belt last Tuesday on NXT, leading to a heated exchange between the two.
Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx of Fatal Influence will also be in action. Henley takes on Lash Legend, while Nyx faces Jaida Parker. Both matches stem from last week’s episode, where Parker and Legend interrupted Jacy Jayne’s celebration of holding both the NXT Women’s and TNA Knockouts World Championships, sparking a brawl between them and Fatal Influence.
