WWE Reportedly Concerned Over Steve Austin ATV Incident at WrestleMania 41 – WrestleMania 41 featured its fair share of unforgettable moments, but one lighthearted segment involving WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin may have sparked unexpected concern behind the scenes.
During Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Austin made his trademark entrance by riding a four-wheeler down to the ring. The moment took a comedic turn as he crashed the ATV into the ringside barricade. Afterward, Austin went on to announce the event’s attendance as 63,226, jokingly suggesting a recount due to the massive crowd size. He concluded his segment in classic fashion — by chugging beers and entertaining the crowd.
However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, the seemingly harmless segment may have had serious repercussions. Bryan Alvarez reported that WWE is “nervous” about the incident, particularly due to its widespread attention on social media. Alvarez described the scene, noting that Austin’s four-wheeler hit the barricade with significant force and appeared to knock a woman back.
“And meanwhile, Austin sprinting down in this ATV or whatever, and he flies around the ring, and he smashed into the barricade, and he knocks this woman back and he jumps off and, like, he gets in the ring or whatever, and Nick Khan flies over, and he’s talking to this lady, and we’ll see what happens, man,” Alvarez stated.
Dave Meltzer added, “Hey, Nick Khan is a smooth operator.”
Alvarez replied, “He is. I heard they’re nervous about this one.”
While no formal complaints or legal actions have been reported at this time, the presence of WWE CEO Nick Khan at the scene suggests the company is treating the situation with urgency. WWE is known for carefully managing safety at major events, especially when high-profile figures like Austin are involved.
It remains to be seen whether this incident will lead to any legal consequences or internal changes to future entrances and live segments. As of now, WWE has not commented publicly on the situation.
