“Stone Cold” Steve Austin Scheduled to Be Backstage at WrestleMania 42

Stone Cold Steve Austin is expected to be present during WrestleMania 42 weekend, with a new report indicating he is currently scheduled to be backstage at the event.

According to Bodyslam, Austin is planned to be at Allegiant Stadium for the show. However, it remains unclear whether he will simply be attending behind the scenes or if WWE has plans for him to appear on camera.

Austin’s presence in Las Vegas has already been confirmed through his scheduled appearances at WWE World. He is set to participate in meet and greet sessions on both Saturday and Sunday, ensuring he will be in the city throughout the entire WrestleMania 42 weekend.

While Austin has remained active with WWE in various capacities over the years, his appearances have not always aligned with major events recently. That makes his confirmed presence during WrestleMania weekend notable, regardless of whether he ends up being part of the broadcast.

His last in-ring match took place at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, when he returned from retirement for an unsanctioned match against Kevin Owens. Following that bout, Austin stepped away from active competition once again.

WrestleMania 42 is set to take place across two nights on April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The event will stream live on the ESPN app in the United States and on Netflix internationally, with both nights beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

For now, Austin’s role remains uncertain, but his presence alone adds another layer of interest heading into WWE’s biggest event of the year.
