News on CJ Perry After Rusev’s WWE Return Deal – As noted, Former AEW star Rusev, known as Miro during his time with the promotion, has reportedly signed with WWE. According to PWInsider, he spent the entire day at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, on Wednesday, where multiple sources saw him.
Notably, CJ Perry (Lana) was not present during his visit, leading to speculation about her potential status with WWE. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that he was given the impression Perry is not expected to return to WWE.
Meltzer said, “Mura signed, and CJ did not sign and was not there. I don’t know. I have not heard anything about….well, I mean, I did. When asking, I was given the impression that she would not be back. But, you know, I mean, you never know for sure, but she did not sign, and he did.”
Rusev originally signed with WWE in 2010 and had a successful run, winning the United States Championship three times before his release in 2020. He later joined AEW, where he captured the TNT Championship. His last AEW match took place at Worlds End in December 2023 before his contract was removed from AEW’s roster page in February.
As of now, there is no official word on when Rusev will make his WWE on-screen return, but he is reportedly back in the mix.
