Backstage Talk on AEW All In: Texas Following Special Start Time Announcement

Backstage Talk on AEW All In: Texas Following Special Start Time Announcement – As noted, AEW has officially announced that All In: Texas will take place on Saturday, July 12, with an early 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. CT start time at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This marks a shift from AEW’s usual prime-time schedule, a move likely made to avoid direct competition with WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event later that night.

Additionally, AEW will host live episodes of Dynamite on Wednesday, July 9, and Collision on Thursday, July 10, at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.

Event Expected to Run Over Four Hours

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that while AEW has not finalized the exact length of the pay-per-view, there is serious consideration for an extended runtime beyond four hours due to the magnitude of the event.

“There’s a couple of things, you know. One of them is that they can go longer at three o’clock… Normally, they would do about a four-hour pay-per-view show, although, because this is a big show, they have not locked in how long they’re going to go, but I do know that it’s being considered to go over four hours because… they basically would have before WWE starts, they’ll have till eight o’clock.”

Meltzer also noted that the event is expected to feature some of AEW’s biggest matches of the year, including:

  • A possible Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada match
  • The AEW World Championship match featuring the Owen Hart Tournament winner
  • Toni Storm defending the AEW Women’s Championship, potentially against Mercedes Moné

The earlier start time is also seen as a benefit for international audiences, particularly in the UK and Europe, where AEW pay-per-views typically start at 1 a.m. local time. By beginning earlier, AEW aims to make the event more accessible to a global audience.

With the promotion hyping All In: Texas as one of its biggest shows of the year, fans can expect an extended runtime filled with marquee matchups.
