Mandy Rose Calls Out WWE for “Erasing Her History” – As noted, Mandy Rose has voiced her frustration over WWE’s recent portrayal of history, accusing the company of overlooking her past accomplishments. The former NXT Women’s Champion spoke out after WWE celebrated Stephanie Vaquer’s recent achievement without acknowledging Rose’s similar feat from 2022.
Earlier this month, Stephanie Vaquer captured the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Roadblock, defeating Giulia in a match that WWE touted as a “historic milestone.” The company highlighted Vaquer as the first woman to hold both the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT Women’s North American Championship simultaneously. However, that claim drew backlash, notably from Rose herself. In 2022, Rose had previously held both the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT UK Women’s Championship at the same time.
Reacting to WWE’s narrative, Rose responded to a fan’s comment on social media by calling the situation “pathetic,” suggesting that the company is attempting to erase her from its history books. Rose was released by WWE in December 2022 following controversy surrounding her FanTime content, which reportedly made WWE executives uncomfortable.
During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Rose was asked about a potential return to WWE, possibly for a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble. She admitted uncertainty about how WWE currently views her and whether a return is realistic.
“I don’t know if they would accept me back. I don’t know how they feel. I’ve never had a conversation. Are they really offended with what happened? I don’t know. Maybe they just don’t want to be associated with me anymore, in a sense, because I feel like I’m a little bit erased in certain scenarios,” Rose explained. “NXT did mention me not too long ago. It was a promo package and they were talking about the women in general evolving, which was cool. That gave me a little glimmer of hope, ‘Oh, I got a little recognition there.’ I feel like I am a little erased from their rolodex of superstars. I could be wrong.”
Since leaving WWE, Mandy Rose has focused on her personal brand and content creation, remaining active on social media but away from the wrestling spotlight.
