Hangman Page Defeats MJF in Grueling AEW Revolution Opener – After more than five years, “Hangman” Adam Page and MJF finally met again in AEW singles competition, kicking off AEW Revolution 2025 with a brutal battle. The long-standing rivals wasted no time unleashing their aggression, with Page ultimately emerging victorious in a match filled with high-impact moments and raw emotion.
The fight started at a blistering pace, with Page immediately cornering MJF and landing a flurry of punches. However, MJF quickly turned the tables, whipping Page across the ring and taking control. As the match progressed, both competitors endured visible damage—MJF suffered a cut on his forehead, while Page’s back and shoulders bore welts from a painful collision with the steel steps. The Los Angeles crowd hung on every near fall, gasping as MJF delivered a Tombstone Piledriver onto a steel chair at ringside.
Page barely beat the referee’s ten-count, stirring at the last moment before sliding back into the ring just in time. In a moment of desperation, MJF grabbed Page’s face and shouted in frustration, demanding to know, “Why you, and not me? What’s so special about you?” His desperation soon turned to rage as he attempted his signature Heatseeker, only for Page to counter with a Deadeye.
With the momentum in his favor, Page paid tribute to Christopher Daniels—who MJF attacked on AEW Dynamite days earlier—by planting his rival with Angel’s Wings, Daniels’ signature move. To cap it off, Page delivered a Buckshot Lariat, securing the hard-fought victory and avenging his mentor in dramatic fashion.
