QT Marshall Throws Drink On Paul Walter Hauser
Harley Cameron joins the panel and as always, brings a ton of annoying hot girl energy to the mix. She babbles about puppets and other nonsense until finally the man who trained her, QT Marshall is introduced holding a red solo cup.
He talks with Paul Walter Hauser about being tired of celebrities like Big Boom A.J. wrestling. They should stick to pre-shows and leave wrestling to the wrestlers. Hauser says he wouldn’t say that if Marshall got a role in a film. Marshall and Hauser go back-and-forth until the others bring up Hauser doing some independent wrestling.
Marshall says there’s a difference between wrestling in a sold out Crypto.com Arena and in a local bingo hall. The panelists convince Hauser to show his lock-up skills on Marshall. Marshall allows it, but then Hauser snatches a side head lock to have some fun.
Marshall says he gave an inch and Hauser took a mile. He splashes the drink in his red solo cup on him and leaves. Hauser takes his mic and headset off and leaves as well.

In what can only be considered a bad Samuel L. Jackson narration parody, a video package airs with a ton of f-bombs and mother-f-bombs from an off-screen narrator talking about how bad The Hurt Syndicate are, as we see footage of them in the gym, to promote the tag-team title tilt tonight against The Outrunners.
ROH World Championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Gravity
Afterwards, the show returns inside the arena where Gravity makes his way out, stopping to hug his family members at ringside. He settles inside the squared circle as the commentators talk about his close relationship with Bandido.
The theme for the reigning and defending ROH World Champion hits and out comes “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho, complete with Big Bill and Bryan Keith behind him. Fire and pyro explodes as they make their way down the entrance aisle and towards the ring, for our next match of the evening.
As soon as they enter the ring, Jericho walks up and blatantly hits Gravity with the bat, which is immediately followed by Bill and Keith immediately beating him down alongside him in three-on-one fashion.
The referee calls for the bell, throwing this out before it gets started. Bandido runs out to make the save, but gets gobbled up as well. Jericho also unmasks Gravity, who tries covering his face while Jericho beats him down with the bat, all-the-while Bill holds Bandido and makes him watch.
The mother and sister of Gravity hits the ring while Bandido tries to hide Gravity’s face. Jericho sees this and picks up his bat and in evil fashion looks at it. He tells the ladies to “watch this” and then kicks Gravity in the head. He triumphantly holds Gravity’s mask up to a ton of boos from the L.A. crowd.
Winner: No Contest
The show cuts back to Renee Paquette and RJ City, who are by themselves in the pre-show panel now. The Zero Hour hosts introduces Yung Gravy, some rapper and apparently country music maker? They talk to him about MJF and Hangman Page. Paquette asks him what else is going on, and he responds in monotone fashion, “Life. Chillin.” Invigorating. Mercifully, that is over.

The armbar is locked in tight as Page reaches for the ropes, only for MJF to bring him back to the center.
Page gets to a vertical base as he struggles to fight back, before MJF rolls through to cinch the hold even deeper in the middle of the ring. Page crawls toward the ropes, finally reaching the bottom rope with his leg to force the break as we see how much damage has been done. MJF leaves the ring, stealing the headset from Schiavone to tell everyone he’s the f’ing man around here, before going back after Page.
He goes for a moonsault off the barricade, but Page counters as he looks for a tombstone piledriver, only for MJF to counter for a running tombstone of his own, sending Page onto a chair. With the Hangman down, MJF heads back to the ring before the ref begins the count. Doc Sampson checks on Page as the count reaches nine before he leaps back into the ring just in time to avoid this one being called.
It looks like MJF is about to cry as he realizes Hangman isn’t done yet. MJF yells about the fans choosing Page instead of him and throws a mild tantrum then tries the Heatseeker but Page counters by walking through the ropes and hitting another Dead Eye then an Angel’s Wings with a rough landing for MJF. AEW World Championship No. 1 Contender Match
Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet
The show keeps quickly rolling on, as with the Mercedes victory out of the way, the commentators quickly shift gears and introduce the pre-match video package for our next match of the evening. Gotta do things quick to fit in 14 to 19 matches on a six and a half to eight-hour wrasslin’ show!
Once the package wraps up, we return inside the Crypto.com Arena where we hear the familiar sounds of Ricochet’s theme song. Out he comes as Leslie Jones and other celebrities in L.A. in attendance are shown in the crowd. He settles inside the squared circle and his music dies down.
Now someone is shown doing a random drum solo, and while he’s killing it, it’s anyone’s guess who it is or why he just did that. Anyways, he hits the crash symbols a bunch to finish up his pointless drum solo, and then Swerve’s theme hits. He seems to try and play the drums as the rap beat kicks in, but it sounds off as hell and god-awful. Cool idea, awful execution?

For the 100th time this evening, AEW puts the actors and writer of the Queen Of The Ring on-camera to beg people to go see the movie while it’s still in theaters for a couple more days in a limited release. Bad look. Worse? Tony Schiavone interviews them and one of the actresses drops this gem on us. “The one thing I learned about wrestling is that you know who’s gonna win before we do!” So profound. Such an artist, ladies and gentlemen.
AEW World Championship
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Cope
The theme for Cope hits and out comes “The Rated-R Superstar” in a cool over-coat. He settles inside the squared circle as his music dies down. The crowd keeps singing the words to the theme, but seem to forget it a bit as they get going. They got loud again as “…chance to feel alive!” It fired up Cope, that’s for sure.
The theme for the reigning and defending AEW World Champion Jon Moxley hits next. Out comes the leader of The Death Riders through the crowd by himself with his title in a briefcase as usual. The commentators point out how Mox is walking alone for the first time since winning the title, due to Cope taking out The Death Riders members one-by-one.
Mox flips COPE off before anything happens. They trade wild strikes. COPE is dropped to a knee but responds in kind, and the two are fighting it out until the challenger is dropped to the mat. He makes it back to his feet as the champ curses him out before they trade strikes again, until Mox goes for a piledriver. COPE escapes to the ropes, eventually sending Mox over the top rope to the outside before following up with a baseball slide.
He climbs the turnbuckle for a cross body onto Mox, sending both men to the floor in the process. He gets back in the ring, but is soon intercepted by the champ for a choke hold. COPE fights out, sending the champ back to the outside before going after him…only to be sent crashing against the ring post by Mox. Mox catches him by surprise by pulling the challenger into the ring post, with COPE down as the champ mocks the announce team before going back after his opponent.
He slams COPE’s head against the barricade before sliding back into the ring, only to break the count by leaving once more. He brings COPE into the ring, propping him up on the apron for an elbow before bringing him back up…only to send him crashing onto the apron, a neck-breaker sending COPE down on the hardest part of the ring. Back in is the champ, still attacking the neck of the Rated R Superstar until COPE gets to the ropes.
Mox goes on the attack again until the ref intervenes, forcing a break from the champ. Mox continues to beat the challenger down, targeting the legs and then the previously injured neck as he mocks COPE throughout. Mox drives his knee into the upper back of COPE now, forcing him to retreat to the corner as he charges in…only for COPE to score a roll up for a nearfall. Mox turns it right back around, firmly in control as we get a shot of The Opps watching on up above.
Back in the ring, COPE fights back with an Impaler to try and get back into this match. He follows up with a lariat, but Mox is the first to his feet as the challenger takes him to the mat. He hits the ropes for a clothesline before taking the champ down hard for a nearfall. The action finds itself in the corner as COPE lands a superplex, but it’s only good for a two count as the challenger goes for the Grindhouse.
Mox struggles to crawl toward the ropes, eventually forcing a break in the process as COPE lets go of the crossface, only to take the champ down to the floor outside with a spear through the ropes. COPE tries to follow up with another spear, but is sent into the ring steps by Mox who yells into the camera that he’s about to send the challenger home in a wheelchair. Mox pulls some padding off the floor, but COPE counters a piledriver to send the champ to the floor with a back body drop instead.
It doesn’t take long for Mox to respond by sending the Rated R Superstar down to the exposed floor himself, causing some big damage as the champ looks at J.R. with a smile on his face before bringing COPE back into the ring. He goes for a bulldog choke but the challenger gets to his feet…only to be dropped with a piledriver as Mox goes for the cover for a two count. COPE is prone and this gives Mox an opening to lock up his Bulldog Choke. COPE begins to fade.
COPE comes to life and begins crawling toward the ropes, however, eventually grabbing a rope for the break. This leads to Mox arguing with the ref, shoving him away before leaving the ring for a steel chair. The ref is quick to get the chair away, as COPE rolls Mox up, only to be sent into the ref, who tumbles to the outside as Mox connects with a Paradigm Shift! With the ref still down, Mox leaves the ring for a pair of chairs before sliding back in the ring.
He sets up for a potential Con-Chair-To, until COPE kicks the chair right in the champ’s face. After Wheeler Yuta hits the ring, the crowd explodes. We’re teased on who he’s going to hit after he and COPE shared respect earlier. He blasts COPE and Mox laughs. He grabs the briefcase for Mox, but COPE begins coming to life.
Christian Cage appears out of nowhere and gets involved. He turns in his guaranteed title shot, finally. This is now a triple-threat. Mox ends up Bulldog Choking Christian Cage unconscious for the win to retain. The crowd didn’t like that finish at all. Not even a little bit. Mox exits the ring and hugs his title, still enclosed in a briefcase, while laying on the ground in the crowd.
Winner and STILL AEW World Champion: Jon Moxley
Mox stumbles through the crowd but sees Prince Nana, back in his robe again. The two jaw at each other while a ton of security stands between them. The camera pans back and we see Swerve Strickland is standing on the barricade way up above the two on a balcony. He leaps with a huge flying Swerve Stomp to take out Mox and the security. He poses as his theme hits to end the show on a somewhat positive note. That’s how things wrap up, thanks for joining us!
