LIVE 12/14 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Results – We start our show with a quick explanation of the history of SNME. We get a throwback video filled with retro themes and clips of greats such as Rowdy Roddy Piper, the Macho Man, the Undertaker, HBK, et cetera.
We are live from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York as pyro explodes in the arena and Joe Tessitore welcomes us to the show. He introduces his partner, Jesse “The body” Ventura.
Jesse says it has been 40 years since he was in the WWE and he is back. Joe asks Jesse what is he most excited about. He talks about Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. He questioned if Cody was Dusty’s son because of his look.
Pat McAfee Returns
We then shoot to the ringside commentators. We see Michael Cole, and he has a special color commentator to call the action with him tonight — the one-and-only Pat McAfee. Cole welcomes McAfee back to the scene in WWE and then we get ready for our first match of the evening.
Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
Sami punches Drew before the bell and the referee starts the match. Drew with a head butt and chop. Sami avoids Drew in the corner and Sami with chops and punches. Sami clotheslines Drew over the top rope to the floor. Sami with a back heel kick and an Arabian Press onto Drew. They return to the ring and Drew with a kick and chop. Drew goes over the top rope to the floor when Sami drops down. Sami with a pescado but Drew catches Sami and he tosses Sami over the announce table.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Drew picks up Sami in the corner and he chops Sami. Sami with forearms and Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Drew punches Sami. Sami with a kick and a back elbow to Drew. Drew runs into a boot. Sami with a double sledge off the turnbuckles. Drew misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the ring post. Sami sets for a Helluva Kick and Drew gets a boot up to stop Sami. Drew with a spinebuster and a jackknife cover for a near fall. Drew with a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Drew gets Sami on his shoulders and he goes to the turnbuckles for a super Air Raid Crash but Sami counters with a sunset flip power bomb for a near fall.
Sami goes for the Blue Thunder Bomb but Drew blocks it a few times. Drew with a head butt and he sets up for a Claymore ut Sami with a boot. Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Sami sets for a Helluva Kick.but Drew goes to the floor. Sami goes to the floor after Drew and Drew returns tot he ring. Drew with a Claymore for the three count.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
– Iyo Sky walks in the back with Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane. Liv Morgan walks in the back with Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and we see Tito Santana, Hall of Famer Rich Hering, and Jimmy Hart (and his megaphone) in the crowd.
Women’s World Championship Match: Liv Morgan(c) vs Iyo Sky
Iyo Sky is out first, escorted to the ramp by Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane Iyo gets a good reaction. Damage CTRL do not accompany her to the ring. Liv Morgan is out at 8:31pm, escorted to the ramp by Dominik Mysterio & Raquel Rodriguez. They return to the back as well. Looks like we’ll get this without interference (TBD).
They lock up and Liv sends Iyo to the mat. Iyo with a cartwheel past Liv but Liv with a drop kick. Liv with a running hip into the corner but Iyo with a drop kick and flapjack for a near fall. Iyo with an Irish whip and Liv goes to the apron and Iyo follows. Iyo iwth a forearm and she goes for a German suplex on the apron but Liv holds on to the ropes and connects with an elbow. Liv goes for a sunset flip power bomb to the floor but Iyo with an elbow and an Asai Moonsault.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Iyo with a double stomp. Iyo with a series of shotei followed by a drop kick. Liv goes to the floor and Iyo with a suicide dive. Iyo sends Liv back into the ring and she goes to the apron and hits a springboard drop kick. Iyo gets a near fall. Iyo misses a running double knee strike and hits the turnbuckles. Liv with a lungblower and a Codebreaker from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Iyo with a kick and a German suplex. Iyo rolls through for a second one. Iyo goes for the Three Rivers and hits it for a near fall. Iyo is dropped on the top rope. Iyo slips on the top rope and Liv gets a near fall. Iyo with an inside cradle for a near fall.
Liv with an enzuigiri and Iyo with a crossface. Liv escapes and Iyo with a knee. Iyo sets for the running double knee strike and connects. Iyo puts Liv in position and she goes for the moonsault and Liv gets her feet up. Liv with obLIVion for the three count.
Winner: Liv Morgan
Liv celebrates in the aisle with Raquel and Dom. Rhea Ripley’s music plays as she heads for the back. Rhea comes out and she walks up to Liv. Liv holds up the title belt.

World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match: Gunther(c) vs. Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest
Priest misses a punch on Finn and Finn avoids Gunther. Priest with a forearm to Gunther and Gunther with a head butt to Priest. Finn with a rollup on Gunther for a near fall. Gunther with a forearm and Priest with a forearm to send Gunther to the apron. Priest kicks Gunther off the apron. Priest with a dive onto Gunther on the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Finn tries to Irish whip Priest but Priest blocks it and connects with forearms. Priest with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot from Gunther and then Gunther with a boot to Finn. Priest with kick to Gunther but Gunther with a Boston Crab. Finn chops Gunther and Gunther releases the hold. Finn with a kick but Gunther with a chop to Balor. Finn with a Pele Kick to Gunther and Priest with a double flying clothesline. Gunther chops Priest and Priest chops back. Priest with kicks to Finn followed by a rolling elbow or two to Finn. Priest with elbows to Balor and Gunther in the corner. Gunther sends Priest to the apron.
Priest blocks a chop and he grabs the hand and Priest goes Old School with a cross body. Priest with a flatliner to Finn for a near fall. Priest grabs Finn for a Razor’s Edge but Gunther with a kick to Priest and Gunther goes for a power bomb but Priest escapes. Finn with sling blade to Priest and then to Gunther. Finn sets for the running drop kick but Gunther with a sleeper. Finn gets a near fall. Finn is sent to the floor. Gunther with a sleeper to Priest and he adds elbows to the chest and he returns to the sleeper. Priest gets his second wind and he gets back to his feet and he gives Gunther a snap mare. Priest with South of Heaven and Finn with a GTR to Priest. Finn drop kicks Priest into the turnbuckles.
Finn goes up top for Coup de Grace but Gunther crotches Finn. Gunther goes to the turnbuckles for a superplex and Priest with a forearm to Gunther’s back. Priest with a Razor’s Edge to Gunther followed by a Coup de Grace to Gunther and Priest breaks up the cover. Priest goes for Razor’s Edge on Finn but Finn counters with a sunset flip for a near fall. Priest with South of Heaven but Gunther pulls Priest to the floor and he applies a sleeper on the floor. Gunther with elbows and he goes for a power bomb onto the ring steps and hits it. Gunther returns to the ring and hits a drop kick to Finn and he follwos with a power bomb for the three count.
Winner: Gunther
– Kevin Owens is in the back and he is preparing for his match against Cody Rhodes.
– Nick Aldi walks through the hallways with the Women’s US Title belt.
We go to commercial.
– We are back with Joe and Jesse. Jesse talks about Liv Morgan’s performance. Joe asks Jesse how the crowd tonight compares to the crowd at the first Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Women’s United States Championship Match: Chelsea Green vs. Michin
Green misses a boot and Michin misses a kick. Green with a waist lock and Michin with a snap mare. Green with a hammer lock and Michin with a take down and a Japanese arm drag. Green slaps Michin and sends her to the floor. Green goes for a dive but Michin punches her. Michin with a modified Tarantula in the ropes. Piper with a Black Hole Slam on the floor when Green distracts the referee.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Michin with a spinebuster. Michin with a German suplex and a second one. Michin with a tornado DDT and she gets a near fall. Michin goes for Eat Defeat and Green avoids it. Green with a Rough Ryder for a near fall. Michin goes to the apron and Green misses a spear and hits a suicide dive onto Piper. Michin with a cannonball onto Green and Piper. Michin with Eat Defeat to Piper on the floor. Green with a kick and she sets for UnprettiHER but Michin escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup. Michin with Eat Defeat but Green gets her foot on the rope to break the count.
Michin puts Green on the turnbuckles and Michin with slaps. Piper gets on the apron and Micin gets pushed to the mat. Michin drop kicks Piper. Green flips off the turnbuckles and hits UnprettiHER for the three count.
Winner: Chelsea Green (new champion)
GM Nick Aldis presents Chelsea with the title and Piper lets Green sit upon her right shoulder as pyro goes off. We’re reminded it’s seven years to the day since Chelsea Green won her first WWE championship of any kind.
We go to commercial.
– We see Koko B Ware and Greg Valentine in the crowd.
– Jesse has joined Cole and Pat at the announce table.
– We have a video package for the Owens/Rhodes match.
Undisputed Championship: Cody Rhodes(c) vs Kevin Owens
The bell rings and Kevin goes to the floor. Cody wants Kevin to get in the ring and Kevin doesn’t care and he walks over to look at the title belt. Kevin gets in the ring and he rolls back to the floor. Cody goes to the floor and he punches Kevin and sends him into the apron and follows with more punches. Cody sends Kevin into the announce table and Kevin goes back into the ring and to the floor. Cody with a suicide dive and Cody holds his ankle. Cody wit a drop down punch followed by a suplex attempt but Kevin blocks it. Cody with a gourdbuster and Kevin goes to the floor.
Cody goes ot the floor and Kevin runs Cody into the ring post. Kevin with a back drop driver onto the announce table. Kevin says hello to Randy. Kevin kicks Cody. They return to the ring. Kevin with kicks and he puts Cody’s leg in the ropes and he kicks the leg. Kevin with a kick to the back of the leg.and he stands on the ankle. Kevin puts Cody’s leg on the ropes and sits down on it. Kevin with a heel hook and Cody kicks Kevin. Kevin with a back senton for a near fall. Kevin with a back elbow and he shows his love to the crowd. Kevin with a DDT. for a near fall. Kevin goes for a belly-to-back suplex and Cody lands on his feet. Cody with a forearm and he puts Kevin on the turnbuckles.
Cody wit a cartwheel and he punches Kevin. Cody continues to limp and he sets for a superplex but as Corey Graves would say, you don’t superplex Kevin and Kevin drops Cody on the top rope. Kevin with a swanton for a near fall. Kevin with jabs and he sets for a Bionic Elbow but Cody with a kick and jabs of his own and a Bionic Elbow. Cody with a running forearm. Cody floats over in the corner and hits a power slam. Cody with Beautiful Disaster for a near fall. Cody sets for a double jump Cody Cutter but Kevin goes to the floor. Cody goes to the floor and Kevin with a super kick and he adjusts the announce table. Kevin gets on the table with Cody and Cody with an RKO on the table.
Cody with a double jump Cody Cutter for a near fall. Cody puts Kevin on the turnbuckles and Cody punches him. Cody goes for a superplex and Cody with punches and a head butt. Kevin punches Cody and Kevin with a super fisherman’s buster for a near fall. Kevin with a kick and he goes for a stunner but Cody blocks it and tries for CrossRhodes. Cody is pushed into the referee and he goes down. Kevin with a kick and stunner but the referee is taking a nap on the floor when Kevin gets more than a three count. A new referee comes to the ring but Cody kicks out at two.
Kevin yells at the new referee and Kevin sets for a pop up power bomb and Cody leaps over Kevin and hits a super kick. Cody goes for Beautiful Disaster and Kevin moves and the new referee goes down. Kevin sends Cody into the ring post shoulder first. Kevin goes fo a chair at ringside. Cody avoids a chair shot and Cody with a Cody Cutter. Cody with CrossRhodes onto the chair. Cody knocks the chair to the floor and Cody gets the three count.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Cody celebrates as we go to credits.
