Nikkita Lyons Fires Back At Online Critics Claimimin She Is In WWE Only For Her Looks

WWE star Nikkita Lyons pushed back against critics claiming her looks outweigh her ring skills, addressing the steady stream of online negativity she has dealt with since joining the company in 2021.

Appearing on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, Lyons opened up about tuning out the noise from internet trolls, proving her doubters wrong, and leaning into the support of her fanbase.

Addressing Internet Critics And Proving In-Ring Ability

Reflecting on the assumptions made about her career and why she earned her spot in WWE, Lyons made it clear that she is focused entirely on her evolution inside the squared circle:

“Expect the unexpected, first of all. I’m always going to do my best to come with something different, come with something new. You’re learning while I’m learning. This is a whole evolution happening in front of people’s eyes that I’m grateful is happening in front of their eyes.”

“But, you know, all the little assumptions or whatever, like she’s just here ’cause of her body, she’s just here because of that. You can go ahead and think that, but I’m going to prove to you what I’m really here to do. And I’m excited for this journey. I’m so grateful. I believe if it’s your calling, it’ll keep calling you.”

Gratitude For The “Lyons Pride” And Advice On Cyberbullying

Lyons also took a moment to show appreciation for her loyal supporters, while offering words of encouragement to anyone dealing with online negativity:

“And to the people who do ride with me, who do rock with the Lyons Pride, I’m infinitely grateful every single day, waking up to your love and your positivity, comments, DMs, all that.”

“Even though I may not get to you, just saying, I appreciate it. I see you, and I’m grateful. And let’s just have a good time. Let’s have a good time. Let’s make history. Let’s freaking heal. You know what I’m saying? We’re going to heal, and I mean that in more ways than one.”

Addressing cyberbullying directly, Lyons added:

“And for those people who also struggle with being bullied or dealing with internet trolls or whatever, ’cause I know it’s out there, ’cause I have conversations with some people who’ve dealt with it. And I do my best to help them out. Again, I kind of said it earlier.”

“Realize that those people who have something to say are usually doing less than you. The people who have something to say don’t know you personally, so don’t take it personal. These people who have something to say obviously have something within them that’s being triggered by your light that they need to heal. So radiate that love. Keep your own vibration high. And oh yeah, let’s go. Lyons Pride.”
