Former WWE Wrestler Arrested In Iowa On Traffic Charges

Former WWE performer Chad Wicks was arrested on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.

Wicks, 48, was taken into custody by local authorities in Mason City at approximately 6:19 p.m. and booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail.

Arrest & Booking Details

According to public jail records released by Northwest Iowa Watch Dogs, Wicks was booked under an intake designation of “Detox.”

He faces multiple traffic-related charges, including:

  • Unsafe Turn or Failure to Give Signal
  • Improper Rear Lamps
  • Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability
  • Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled or Revoked

Jail records listed four separate cash-only bonds totaling $1,501.51. Wicks posted the cash bond and was released from custody on Wednesday, September 30.

WWE Career & Background

A native of Mason City, Iowa, Wicks originally rose through the professional wrestling ranks in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) under the name Chad Toland.

He was called up to WWE’s SmackDown brand in late 2005 alongside tag team partner John Toland (James Dick) as The Dicks, competing as Chad Dick. The duo featured on main roster television and Velocity before being released in early 2006. Wicks retired from professional wrestling shortly thereafter in 2007.
