TNA star Trey Miguel is officially on the road back to competition following a lengthy injury absence. After being sidelined for four months due to a broken kneecap, Miguel has now been medically cleared to return to the ring.

Miguel shared the update during an interview with Click On Detroit while promoting the opening of The Grind Time Academy’s new training facility in Downtown Detroit. The timing of the news was notable, as he revealed that he received medical clearance just one day before the grand opening event.
“I’ve been out for four months because of it,” Miguel said. “I was cleared yesterday.”
The announcement marks a significant step forward for the former X-Division Champion, who has been absent from in-ring action since suffering the injury earlier this year. TNA Wrestling also acknowledged Miguel’s updated status during Thursday night’s episode of iMPACT, confirming that his return is expected within the coming weeks.
Miguel’s recovery process has been closely followed by fans, especially after he publicly expressed disappointment about missing a major event. He was hopeful of making his return in time for Slammiversary but ultimately was not cleared in time for the show.
“Second Slammiversary in a row I missed. Missing today hurt a little different. Congrats to everyone who worked their ass off today to put on another great PPV. I really tried to push hard enough to be cleared by today.”
With clearance now secured, attention shifts to when Miguel will officially step back into the ring. TNA is set to hold its next round of television tapings at the end of July in Philadelphia, and those dates are currently seen as a likely target for his return. While no official match has been announced, the timing aligns with the company’s upcoming schedule.
Miguel’s return adds depth back to TNA’s X-Division, where he has been a key figure in recent years. His presence is expected to strengthen the division as the company builds toward its next set of storylines and events.
