TNA Wrestling has officially confirmed that Amazing Red will return at Slammiversary 2026, marking his first appearance for the company in over a decade.
The announcement comes just days after TNA began teasing Red’s involvement in the event. The former three-time X-Division Champion is now set to compete at the June 28 show in Boston. This will be Red’s first TNA appearance since 2011, adding a notable legacy name to the anniversary card.
Red had previously been scheduled to return for a TNA event in April 2020, but those plans were scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, delaying his comeback for several years.
While TNA has not confirmed his exact role for Slammiversary, there is strong context surrounding the Ultimate X match for the X-Division Championship. Cedric Alexander is set to defend the title against Leon Slater and four additional competitors who have yet to be officially named. One of those spots has already been filled during a recent TV taping in Denver, though the participant has not been publicly announced.
Given Red’s history as one of the pioneers of the X-Division style, his involvement in that match would be a natural fit, though TNA has not confirmed that direction.
Beyond his in-ring career, Red has remained active in wrestling through House of Glory, the promotion he founded. He continues to compete there while also running the HOG wrestling school, helping develop the next generation of talent.
Slammiversary 2026 will take place at the Agganis Arena, with the main card scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
Red’s return adds both experience and nostalgia to the event, as TNA builds a card that blends current stars with influential names from its past.
