WWE Plans to Continue Celebrity Involvement

WWE Plans to Continue Celebrity Involvement

WWE is expected to maintain its focus on celebrity appearances moving forward, following what the company views as a successful showing at WrestleMania 42.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE sources indicated that the company is “extremely happy” with how celebrity talent performed during the event. That positive reaction has reinforced plans to keep celebrities involved in programming going forward.

WWE Celebrity Involvement to Continue

While the level of celebrity participation is expected to decrease in the immediate aftermath of WrestleMania, the report notes that WWE still intends to bring in additional high-profile names throughout the year, including during the summer months.

The strategy reflects WWE’s continued effort to blend mainstream entertainment with its in-ring product, using well-known figures to draw broader attention to its shows.

Tom Brady Contacted for Possible Role

The report also revealed that Tom Brady was approached about a potential role with WWE. However, those discussions did not lead to an appearance, and the reason for that remains unclear.

Celebrity Appearances at WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42 featured multiple celebrity appearances, including Jelly Roll, IShowSpeed, Lil Yachty, and Pat McAfee.

Yachty remained involved in WWE programming after the event, appearing on SmackDown, where he was attacked by Sami Zayn during a segment involving the Gingerbread Man storyline. Trick Williams later commented that he was unsure of Yachty’s condition following the incident.

The continued use of celebrities suggests WWE sees value in integrating outside names into its product, especially during major events. With WrestleMania 42 receiving positive internal feedback in that regard, the company appears set to build on that approach in the months ahead.
