Reason Roman Reigns Was Pulled From WWE June Dates

As noted, Roman Reigns has been removed from WWE’s advertised June schedule, and a new report explains why those plans changed.

Reigns had initially been promoted for all four June episodes of Monday Night RAW, including both international and U.S. shows. However, WWE has since updated its listings, quietly removing his name from every June date.

Roman Reigns WWE Schedule Change Explained

According to Dave Meltzer, the decision is tied directly to WWE’s upcoming Saudi Arabia event, WWE Night of Champions.

“Regarding Roman Reigns being pulled from June TV dates that were announced, the reason we were told is that he’s not going to be on the Saudi Arabia PPV and thus there was no reason to do the TV’s building that show.”

With Reigns no longer scheduled for the event, WWE adjusted its television plans accordingly, removing him from the build that would have led into the show.

Change Came After Initial Post-WrestleMania Plans

Reigns had originally been expected to appear regularly following WrestleMania 42, with a full stretch of June appearances planned. Once he was taken off the Night of Champions card, those plans were revised.

There is still some uncertainty depending on what happens next. Reigns is set to defend his championship at Backlash, and the outcome of that match could influence future booking.

“If he loses the title next week, of course that would be a change and there will be more to the story. If he retains, that’s probably all it is.”

No June Appearances Currently Scheduled

As things stand, Reigns is not currently scheduled for any WWE television appearances in June.

“But Reigns is no longer scheduled for any television in June.”

With Night of Champions set for June 27 in Riyadh, WWE’s current direction appears to be built around his absence from that event. Whether that changes will likely depend on upcoming storyline developments.
