The potential return of one of WWE’s most recognizable tag teams from the late 2010s is beginning to gain real traction behind the scenes.
According to recent reports, WWE has genuine interest in reuniting Enzo Amore and Big Cass, a duo that became breakout stars during their original run in NXT and on the main roster.
Backstage Interest Growing
The latest update indicates that WWE has internally discussed the possibility of bringing the team back together. The report also notes that both Enzo and Cass still maintain strong relationships with several producers in WWE — particularly those who worked closely with them during their rise through NXT.
That existing goodwill could play a key role if talks progress further.
Enzo Spotted At Performance Center
Speculation ramped up significantly after Enzo was reportedly seen at the WWE Performance Center ahead of an NXT taping. The sighting immediately turned heads given his long absence from the company.
Enzo has not appeared in WWE since his January 2018 release, which came after sexual assault allegations surfaced publicly. The case was later closed with no charges filed following an investigation.
Adding to the intrigue, WWE is also said to have made recent contact with him — a development that suggests at least preliminary discussions may already be underway.
Big Cass’ AEW Status
Cass — currently performing as Big Bill in All Elite Wrestling — could also factor into the timing of any potential reunion.
While he remains under contract, his deal is believed to run through at least the end of May. His limited in-ring activity in 2026 has already raised questions, with just two matches this year and his most recent appearance coming in February on AEW programming.
If and when he becomes available, it could open the door for WWE to move more aggressively.
A Team Fans Still Remember
Enzo & Cass became one of the most popular acts of their era thanks to their charisma, crowd interaction, and instantly recognizable promo style. Even years after their split, the team continues to carry strong nostalgia value among fans.
At this stage, there is no official confirmation that either man is returning to WWE television. However, with Enzo’s Performance Center visit, reported outreach from WWE, and internal interest in a reunion, momentum behind a potential comeback is clearly building.
