Updated Lineup for 4/3 WWE SmackDown

New United States Champion Sami Zayn is scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, one week after reclaiming the title.

WWE has confirmed that Zayn will address the audience following his victory over Carmelo Hayes last Friday. With the win, Zayn begins another reign as United States Champion and is now set to defend the title against Trick Williams at WrestleMania 42.

The title change has sparked discussion online, with some fans expressing frustration over Hayes losing the championship and not currently being included in WrestleMania plans. WWE’s handling of that reaction could become clearer during tonight’s show.

There is also interest in whether Zayn will revive the United States Championship open challenge series he previously introduced during his August to October 2025 reign. That concept continued under Ilja Dragunov and Hayes during their respective runs with the title.

Williams recently spoke on the “Mornings with Mero” radio show, stating that Hayes “deserves” a WrestleMania moment and expressing hope that he still finds his way onto the card.

In addition to Zayn’s appearance, WWE has announced a singles match between Rhea Ripley and Michin. Ripley is looking for revenge following recent attacks involving Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab. Ripley is set to challenge Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.

A tag team match is also set, with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss facing Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.

Tonight’s show will take place at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. With only three episodes of SmackDown remaining before WrestleMania 42, the build to the event continues to intensify.
