WWE is believed to have released Kairi Sane as part of its ongoing roster changes following WrestleMania.
According to Fightful, Sane is among the names thought to be gone from the company, although WWE has not officially confirmed her status.
Sane last competed on the April 20 episode of WWE RAW, where she teamed with Asuka in a match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. In recent months, she had been aligned with Asuka as part of the Kabuki Warriors.
Sane first signed with WWE in March 2017 and quickly made an impact in NXT, where she won the NXT Women’s Championship. She also won the Mae Young Classic, establishing herself as one of the standout performers of her class.
During her initial run on the main roster, Sane became a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She departed WWE in December 2021 after her contract expired and later returned to Japan, where she competed for STARDOM.
Sane made her return to WWE in 2025, joining the Damage CTRL faction and reestablishing herself on WWE television. Her second run saw her return to a featured role in the women’s division, often teaming with Asuka.
Her reported release now marks another change within WWE’s roster as the company continues its post-WrestleMania adjustments.
