In a social media post shared on Tuesday, Sane addressed the speculation surrounding her exit, including reports that she may have expressed interest in returning to Japan.
“What I can say is I know there’s been a lot of speculation, but I truly love this work, my teammates, and my fans. I’ve never walked away, and I’ve given my all in everything I do. I hope you’re all doing well,” she wrote.
The comments came after discussion on Wrestling Observer Radio, where Dave Meltzer stated that Sane had “kinda indicated she wanted to move back” to Japan. That possibility was mentioned as a potential factor in WWE’s decision to release her.
Sane’s departure was part of a larger wave of releases that affected both main roster and NXT talent. The news came as a surprise, especially given her involvement in an ongoing storyline alongside Asuka and IYO SKY.
On the following episode of WWE RAW, Asuka referenced the situation without naming Sane directly while shifting focus to a new direction. She issued a challenge to IYO SKY for a match at Backlash.
Shortly after the release became public, Sane also shared a more personal message.
“I’m truly grateful to have people like you by my side. Thank you for always being with me. I’ll set sail… in my own time. Until then…I love you,” she wrote.
