Jaida Parker Addresses NXT Suspension And Neck Injury Update – Jaida Parker has spoken publicly after being sidelined on WWE NXT, where Interim General Manager Robert Stone announced she is dealing with a neck injury and has been suspended following her altercation with Blake Monroe. The suspension stems from Parker attacking a referee during their brawl on the February 10 episode.
Parker appeared on Busted Open the day after the announcement aired. While she declined to address the injury directly, she commented on the suspension and how it affects her momentum.
“It wasn’t the easiest thing to hear from him, especially being suspended,” Parker said about Robert Stone replacing her in the number one contender’s tournament for a WWE Women’s Speed Title shot. “But he said, ‘Actions have consequences’ but if he realized, that was just a reaction to an action that was caused by Blake Monroe. But, we’re playing chess, not checkers. So, I just gotta get better. That’s all.”
Parker was also asked about Monroe’s rise and whether she felt opportunities had come too easily for her rival.
“I wouldn’t say ‘handed’ because I feel as though everybody here earns what they are given, to be honest with you. There’s no disrespect anywhere. Blake (Monroe) does put in the work. I do see that and I see how she is in the ring but at the same time, you gotta get tested to see what you’re about and yeah, she’s been tested here but she hasn’t been tested by Jaida Parker at the end of the day.”
Their most recent match featured a dangerous moment when Monroe delivered a suplex that resulted in Parker landing on her head. The situation contributed to the storyline developments that followed.
Despite the setback, Parker said she remains confident about her position in the NXT women’s division and believes she is ready to take on a leading role.
“It’s not even a question. There’s no hesitation. Yes, because I have busted my ass day in and day out since I got to WWE and yes, I came in with the least amount of experience out of all of them but I’m still at the same level as them at the end of the day, so, people can talk all they want to but it’s about actions and Jaida Parker ain’t got no choice but to show you my actions match my words. So yes, I am ready and I’ve been ready to hold and be a part of that NXT and be one of the top girls for NXT because why not? Jaida Parker is Jaida Parker for a reason and there’s nobody like her and I’m gonna make sure she is undeniable at the end of the day.”
