WWE Considering TNA Champion Appearance on Current European Tour – While WWE continues its run of European dates, new information has emerged regarding possible outside talent involvement. PWInsider reports that WWE has shown interest in TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. Although no appearance has been confirmed, there was reportedly a pitch to have Slater appear alongside Je’Von Evans.

PWInsider also clarified scheduling details for the upcoming week. Next week’s WWE event in London will be the January 16 episode of SmackDown, which will take place at Wembley Stadium. Evans is now officially signed to RAW, and Monday’s episode of RAW will air from the SSE Arena in Belfast. On the January 12 episode, Evans picked up a singles win over Bravo Americano.

Slater recently competed at NXT New Year’s Evil, where he lost to Oba Femi in an NXT Championship match. Slater and Evans have teamed together in the past. Their most recent high-profile appearance came on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where they faced AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, who were then the RAW Tag Team Champions. The duo also challenged DarkState for the NXT Tag Team Titles last November.

Slater is reportedly under contract with TNA through the end of the year. While he has not been announced for WWE appearances, he remains active in TNA. Thursday Night iMPACT will debut on AMC on January 15, airing live from Dallas, Texas. Slater is also scheduled to defend the X-Division Championship against Cedric Alexander and Moose at the Genesis pay-per-view on January 17.

WWE’s European tour began on January 8 with a live event in Leipzig, Germany. The tour is scheduled to wrap up on January 19 in Belfast, Ireland.
