Trey Miguel Returns to TNA Wrestling Under New Contract

Trey Miguel Returns to TNA Wrestling Under New Contract – Trey Miguel is officially back in TNA Wrestling after being released by AEW last week, and his return has already had an immediate on-screen impact.

Miguel made a surprise appearance during the Feast or Fired match on the January 22 live edition of iMPACT. Entering as an unannounced participant, Miguel pulled down one of the four briefcases suspended above the ring. As is tradition with Feast or Fired, the briefcase he claimed contains either a TNA World Title shot, a TNA International Title opportunity, a TNA World Tag Team Title shot, or a pink slip resulting in termination. The contents of Miguel’s briefcase have not yet been revealed.

Earlier that same day, Fightful Select reported that TNA Wrestling was in active discussions with Miguel regarding a possible return to the company. His appearance on iMPACT confirmed not only that those talks were successful, but that Miguel is now officially signed to a new contract with TNA.

Miguel’s return comes just weeks after The Rascalz concluded their run with TNA at the end of 2025. The group, consisting of Miguel, Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed, departed the promotion and subsequently signed with AEW. However, Miguel’s time in AEW was short-lived. He was released following a decision reportedly made by Warner Bros. Discovery due to past social media comments.

Despite the abrupt end to his AEW run, Miguel remains a well-established name within TNA Wrestling. He is a former X-Division Champion and was a central figure in the resurgence of The Rascalz during their previous tenure with the company. His familiarity with the roster and the fanbase positions him as an immediate factor upon his return.

The Feast or Fired stipulation adds an additional layer of intrigue to Miguel’s comeback. Depending on which briefcase he secured, Miguel could quickly find himself competing for championship gold or facing an unexpected setback. Either way, his return signals another notable roster move for TNA as the company continues to reshape its lineup heading into 2026.
