1/29 TNA iMPACT Live Results

The new and impoved System come out to cut a promo and soak up the heel heat from the crowd. Now they’re all dressed in black hoodies (instead of the Celtic Green they’ve been wearing since at least October). Also of note, Alisha Edwards is not with the group. Edwards takes the mic as the de facto leader and trashes Moose for being “a selfish prick.” Moose only cared about himself, not The System! As for JDC, he only joined the System so he could ride their coattails until the end of their career.

Alisha Edwards came out and confronted the new and improved System, and she’s not happy that her husband kept the turn from her. She’s supposed to be his ride or die! But Eddie kept the turn from his wife because he leads with a emotion, which is fine at home but not in business. Alisha’s contract is coming up, and maybe she doesn’t want to be a part of The System anymore. Eddie doesn’t apprecaite her putting their business out in public and reminds her that she either trusts the System, or she’s out of the System. She decided she didn’t want to be a part of the System, and left.

— Gia Miller interviewed BDE, who faces Nic Nemeth tonight. He’s gonna prove he’s not just an influcer, but that he belongs in TNA Wrestling.

BDE vs. Nic Nemeth

This match stemmed from last week when BDE and some other enhancment talents were playing video games in the back instead of watching the shows and taking notes like Nic Nemeth taught them, or something.

BDE is here to prove that he belongs, and Hannifan talked about how this is 25th match ever, but he has 1.5 million viewers on YouTube. Nemeth took him down with a cheap shot. BDE got an arm ringer, but Nemeth outclassed him and went for a guillotine. BDE came back and knocked Nemeth to the floor with a clothesline. BDE followed him out with a dive to the floor.

Back in the ring, BDE went for a springboard cutter, but Nemeth dodged it and both guys were down.

Nemeth caught his breath first, and sent BDE into the turnbuckle. Nemeth choked BDE in the corner and posed. BDE mounted a brief comeback but Nemeth caugt BDE with a shot to the knee. Big elbow drop from Nemeth got a near fall. Nemeth dropped to the floor to taunt some fans. When he got back in the ring, BDE caugt him with a small package for a near fall. Nemeth put BDE down with an elbow, then locked on a sleeper with a body scissors.

BDE elbowed his way out of the chinlock, but Nemeth dropped him again, then choked him against the ropes.

Another big elbow from Nemeth got another near fall. BDE tried to fight back, but Nemeth cut him off with a forearm. BDE reversed an Irish whip to send Nemeth chest first into the turnbuckles.  But Nemeth came back with another clothesline. BDE kicked Nemeth in the gut a slapped him, then hit a busaiku knee. BDE came off the top with a frog splash for two. This match has way overstayed its welcome for me. BDE went for a springboard cutter again, but this time Nemeth caught him with the Danger Zone and got the pinfall.

Winner: Nic Nemeth

After the match, Ryan Nemeth came out to call Nic the greatest wrestler than ever lived. Ryan sent Nic to go grab a shower in the back, and he’d join him in the monute. But first, he had to bring out Mada Sadé. He accused Sadé of constantly attacking him, but she should admit that he was the better athlete who beat her fair and square. Sadé sees things differently, which Ryan attributed to her feelings for the Hollywood Hunk. Sadé feigned a handshake and went for a superkick, but Ryran blocked it and leveled Sadé with a superkick.

— In the back, The Elegance Brand celebrated the return of action of Ash by Elegance. Ash rightly pointed out that she never lost the Knockouts Title, and Lei Ye Ling came to trash the party and tell Ash to come get it, backed up by Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell. This will lead to a trios match, on Ash’s time. Mr. Elegance showed off his physique for Hartwell, who declared this “not my type of party,” and absconded with the champagne.

Stacks vs. Home Town Man

Hannifan beat the audience over the head with the joke that Home Town Man is from every hometown, and is in fact Cody Deaner. This match is non-title. The firtst two minutes of the match were all about brawling over one of the Home Town Man’s gimmick hats, which evetually wound up on the head of a young fan in the front row. If I can be serious for a minute, Stacks locked in a half-crab, but, encouranged by the crowd, the Home Town Man got a rope break.

Stacks tried to get the title belt from Grace to use as a weapon, but she wouldn’t help her boyfriend cheat (since she made up with her father last week). HTM started a comeback, and caught Stacks with a crossbody for a near fall. Stacks got the belt from Grace, but Grace took it back and turned her back to the action. Sacks raked HTM’s eyes, then rolled up the Home Town Man and put his feet on the ropes for extra leverage to get the pinfall.

Winner: Stacks

After the match, Sacks swore up and down to Grace that he won the match clean. I hope for his sake she doesn’t watch a replay on TNA+.

TNA Injury Report:

  • Moose is out with back injury after Genesis and getting beat up by the System last week.
  • Rich Swann is cleared for the main event tonight despite injuries.
  • Mara Sadé is being evaluated after being assaulted by Ryan Nemeth earlier.

— In the back, Stacks isn’t happy that Arianna didn’t help him win the match. They were supposed to take over TNA together! Santino Marella came along just as Grace sent Sacks packing. So I guess she doesn’t need to watch that replay.

Jason Hotch (w/ Order 4) vs. Elijah

Elijah did a ropewalk spot with Hotch like Undertaker’s “Old School” that Hannifan called by saying “Hotch walked with Elijah” and that’s the most clever thing I’ve heard all week. The members of Order 4 distracted Elijah so Hotch could hit him with a sommersalt plancha on the floor.

This match was all Elijah, unless the Order 4 members distracted Elijah to give Hotch the advantage.

Back in the ring, Hotch distracted the ref while Mustafa Ali raked Elijah’s eyes. Elijah came back with a high back body drop. Tasha Steelz distracted the referee so John Skyler could snap Elijah’s arm against the ring ropes, and Hodge went to work on Elijah’s arm. Elijah fought out of that and stomped Hotch in the corner. Elijah hit a modified twist and shout for a near fall.

Hotch went for a rolling neckbreaker, but Elijah blocked it. Hotch dropped Elijah with a spinning blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Hodge hit a rolling forearm, but Elijah came back with a superkick. Hodge dove into a high knee from Elijah, and then finished Hotch off with a tombstone.

Winner: Elijah

After the match, Order 4 jumped Elijah. Agent Zero gave Ali Elijah’s guitar. Elijah kicked Ali in the gut and almost took his head off with the guitar, then stood tall against Order 4.

— Jada Stone is excited to be here, as she was saying in a promo before the members of Order 4 interrupted her. Jada doesn’t like being interrupted, so Tasha Steelz dropped her with a forearm. Trainers as such sent Order 4 away, and Elijah helped Stone to her feet. “Do you want to walk wtih Elijah?”

Elayna Black v. Ruthie Jay

Daria Rae joined the commentators for this match to put over Black as a star who “puts butts in these seats.” This was a straight-up squash for Black. Jay’s breif bit of offense was cut off by a forearm from Black. Black hit a running knee in the corner. Black finished off Jay with a double underhook into a twisting neckbreaker.

Winner: Elayna Black

— The Hardys put over how exciting it is to be on AMC, but the Righteous interrupted. Vincent and Dutch got clarity at Genesis, and the Hardys won because the Righteous let the Hardys be themselves. Vincent: “This doesn’t have to be war.” Matt Hady: “ What are we doign here guys?” Okay so I’m not the only one wondering that.

Feast or Fired Results

  • Trey Migeul (“Please dont let this happen twice in one month…”) gets a shot at the TNA International Title
  • Eddie Edwards gets a shot at the TNA World Championship
  • Steve Maclin gets a shot at… being FIRED?!?!?
  • Eric Young gets the X-Division title shot.

Gia Miller (who presided over the case opening) asked if Maclin had any last words, but he just walked off.

— The System confronted Mike Santana in the back to remind him you can’t beat the System.

— Hannifan was in tears at the commentary desk at Steve Maclin getting fired. That was a bit over the top.

Next Week on Impact:

  • Elijah & Jada Stone v. Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz
  • The Righteous in Action
  • The Elegance Brand v. Indi Hartwell, LéiYǐng Lee, and Xia Brookside

AJ Francis vs. Rich Swann in a No Holds Barred Match

Francis brought out a chain, and Swann brought out a trash can full of plunder. Swann went to pull out a table from under the ring, but Francis cut him off, then put the table back under the ring. Swann avoided a chokeslam into the steel steps, then got the table back out. Swann ran into a boot from Francis.

Swann tried for a Canadian Destoryer on the entrance stage, but Francis blocked it. Francis tried to turn that into a Styles Clash, but Swann escaped that. Francis spiked Swann down with Pedigree to take control.

Francis choked Swann with a cane on the floor. Swann hit Francis with a baking sheet off the apron and sent Francis into the ringpost.

Francis choked out Swann with his  chain.  Swann hit back with a bulldog into a steel chair.  Francis caught Swann going for a dive, then sent him into the chair with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall.

Swann tossed the top half of the ring stairs into the ring. Francis tried for a F5 on the stairs, but Swann reversed it into a DDT. Swann then curb stomped Francis into the steel stairs. Swann hit a handspring cutter and went for a cover, but only got two.

Swann pulled another table out from under the ring, then pulled some more chairs out from under the ring. Francis jumped off the stairs in the ring and speared Swann into the pile of chairs for a near fall. The crowd gave this a weak “this is awesome” chant. Francis set up Swann for a chokeslam through the tables, but Swann turned that into a hurricanrana and sent Francis into the tables. I guess you could say Swann turned the tables on him!

Back in the ring, Swann hit Francis with a Phoenix Splash for a near fall. That got a more full-throated “this is awesome!” chant from the crowd. Swann went for his bat again, but Francis hit him with a chain balled around his fist. But that only got two.

Francis put an aluminum trash can on Swann’s head and then smacked it with a steel chair. Is wrestling keeping the aluminum trash can industry in business? I swear I never see them anywhere else. Francis smacked the can with the chair a bunch of times, but Swann still kicked out.

Francis pulled up Swann for a chokeslam off the top into the chairs, but Swann turned that into a hurricanrana off the top. Francis crashed into the chairs.  Swann destoryed Francis with a bunch of chair shots, then Swann came off the top with a big frog splash onto Francis into the pile of chairs. Hannifan procaimed that “Swann sends Francis back to economy!”

Winner: Rich Swann

— In the back (and after the “Executive Producer” credits), Franike Kazarian demanded to speak to Daria Rae as the show went off the air.

1/29 TNA iMPACT Preview

TNA rolls into its third episode on AMC this week, marking the first taped edition to air under the company’s new television partnership. The show was recorded during last week’s tapings at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and promises a mix of fallout, fresh matchups, and high‑stakes consequences.

The episode will open with the revamped version of The System, now comprised of Bear Bronson, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and Cedric Alexander. The faction closed last week’s broadcast with a major statement, and tonight they are expected to address their new direction — and perhaps their intentions for the rest of the TNA roster.

In one of the night’s featured bouts, Rich Swann steps into a No Holds Barred Match against AJ Francis. Their rivalry reignited at TNA Genesis on January 17, where Francis scored a decisive victory over Swann in the opening contest. With weapons legal and no rules to hold them back, both men will have the chance to settle their score in a far more chaotic environment.

After a heated backstage confrontation on last week’s show, Nic Nemeth will go one‑on‑one with YouTube personality BDE. Nemeth has been on a mission to prove himself against all challengers since arriving in TNA, and tonight he gets the opportunity to silence a loud new voice looking to make a name for himself.

The action continues as Elijah returns to the ring to face Jason Hotch of Order 4. With tensions rising between Elijah and the faction in recent weeks, this singles match could be a preview of a much larger conflict brewing within the company.

Finally, one of TNA’s most unpredictable traditions returns to center stage as the Feast or Fired briefcases from last week’s match will be opened. One competitor will walk away with a future championship opportunity, while another will learn they’ve been fired from TNA — a reveal that always sends shockwaves through the locker room.

With faction shake‑ups, personal grudges, and career‑altering consequences on the line, this week’s TNA iMPACT on AMC is shaping up to be a pivotal episode in the company’s new era.
